You don't think so? The party is now run by a handful of hyper-wealthy propagandists and John Birchers, and PACs are basically doing the campaigning and political strategy for them. The chairman of the RNC at this point does virtually nothing. They may have enough wealth to pack a temporary political punch, but they're far too ignorant and short-sighted about politics to form the long-term coalitions and policy agendas that will support the party in the future. The party is shedding its intellectual base faster than a long-haired cat drops its winter coat in spring, and becoming a national punch-line for just about every comedian.
Heck, even the majority of Republicans disapprove of the job the Republican congress is doing. The party is currently propped up on animosity toward Obama alone. That can't be a good long-term strategy.AAT: 2007 L. Oliveros | 2008-10 F. Martinez | 2011 H. Perez | 2012 E. Suarez | 2013 J. Kobernus

While I don't think that the Republican party collapsing is imminent, reasonable Republicans know that the changing demographics are a huge - and possibly fatal - issue long-term. They have to make inroads with minorities.

Republican's are being embraced and are embracing the actual fastest growing minority of South Asians. I do not recall a a Nikki Haley or Bobby Jindal among the Democrat governors. But, they fled socialist and cronyist societies to come here or were brought to America by parents fleeing the same."I remember the night they came for my father and mother. It was in the days when grain was plentiful ... we had eaten a simple meal of barley gruel on the porch. The car drove away into the night. I never saw them again ... ever again."
