No - one is professional and standard practice. The other is something done by my 7'th grader to remember his homework and women in market stalls in China to bargain with you. And Sarah Palin.
None of this would be anything more than pathetic if Palin hadn't been beating Obama up for using a teleprompter. As it is we've got another sign of just what nutters the teabaggers and their heroes are.

yes, she referred to obama as a charismatic guy with a teleprompter.
as if charisma hasn't gotten her everywhere she's been in life.

So wait. Obama can't talk to Sixth Graders without a teleprompter, but Palin is the idiot for writing down a few notes?

Who are you thinking of who wrote notes on their hand DG? I can't recall *ever* seeing that. Except for kids and people who can't speak a common language - that is.
We should laugh at them all. They all deserve a thread. But Sarah is the only one I can recall. Come on - share - so we can all laugh at what morans they are.

having notes is one thing. How about a 3x5 note card. These were pre arrainged questions and she could not remember her answer to a question something like "what are the first things needing to be addressed by the president?" or something like that. Just put your notes on paper like an adult not a sixth grader.

It's not bad that she wrote notes. It's how she wrote her notes. Christ, use a 3x5 card. There's no shame in using notes. It made it look like she was cheating on her history test.

We are mocking her because she can't own up to her own need for a mnemonic aid, and tried an adolescent tactic instead. That's pretty damn immature. But I guess it's that slightly pre-pubescent innocence and stumbling girlishness that the sheep love.

Obama didn't need a teleprompter to school the house Republicans two weeks ago.
But when you're President of the United States, and anything you say (and consequently, any misspeak) could be interpreted or misinterpreted by billions of people, it doesn't hurt to make sure you are saying exactly what you mean to say. So I don't care that he uses a teleprompter. It's a smart thing to do.

Yep, just more of the same crap being laid out by the "just don't get it, and never will" left.
Dan Quayle is an idiot, G. Bush another idiot, Ollie North idiot, Palin idiot -- nah, no pattern here by the left. Their paint brush gets bigger by the day -- but they have a huge surprise coming in the near future. Joe Average American is getting tired of the elitist attitude of referring to people like Palin as dumb, imbeciles unable to tie their own shoes, because it means Joe Average is also the same. The name calling gets really old and until the left wakes up, just let them nail their own coffins closed. It's hilarious to watch.
Obama is so brilliant that even with a Super Majority he couldn't get anything done and still blames it on the powerless Republicans. Dude is the most ball-less president we've ever had IMO.
As far as nutters go, people who think spending money to solve a debt problem are the nutters.

Surely you must be kidding! The only one he fooled with that staged silliness was himself, and I doubt if he even believes it. The American people are what matters and he's so far out of touch with them the only thing he has left is that silly smirk and his teleprompter and that ain't workin' no more!!! He needs to stop his preachin and start listening, but he's way too pompous to bother listening to American citizens. He's got his agenda and he's going to go ahead with it no matter what American wants.......very similar to what George Bush did.

You do realize she had her speech in front of her, don't you?
The notes on her hand were points to hammer during the Q&A. And only three of them at that.

Bold parts 1 and 2: At least you broke it into two paragraphs. But I can't really argue the "ball-less" part. He should be standing up to the Republicans more.
Bold part 3: he has been doing what I've been saying. I am an American citizen.

You mean the guy who went to Yale because his family is a dynasty, then was rejected from UT's law school on the merits before getting into Harvard b-school because of his name and had bad grades throughout? Impressive
Obama graduated Harvard Law as editor in chief of the law review and w/ magna cum laude honors

I dont know about you guys, but based upon the threats in the world today, lets be honest about the necessity of critical thinking skills.
The intellect necessary to be the editor of the Harvard Law Review is a little more substantial than this educational backround..

Sarah Palin’s “Going Rogue” review : The New Yorker
Quote:
Hawaii was a little too perfect," Palin writes. "Perpetual sunshine isn't necessarily conducive to serious academics for eighteen-year-old Alaska girls." Perhaps not.
But Palin's father, Chuck Heath, gave a different account to Conroy and Walshe. According to him, the presence of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders made her uncomfortable: "They were a minority type thing and it wasn't glamorous, so she came home."
