I wonder if Grant Hill is regretting his choice to leave the Phoenix training staff. 4 years in Phoenix he played 70, 82, 81, and 80 games and 49 (66 game season) games.

Between the Lions and the Pistons, it's been a pretty crappy December. How about a nice Christmas run here? Get the wins against Washington and Toronto, possibly Milwaukee and maybe a lucky win against one of these better teams (tonight, Atlanta or Miami).
How about it Pistons? How about a 5-2 holiday run to reward us that continuously pop you on every night (even if it is usually the late-night replay)? Something tells me 2-5 is more likely."Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown

I think I've said this in past years, but the one huge drawback about watching the replay late at night was what happened Friday night. They skipped so much of the game, it became apparent to me that it not only was going to be an overtime game, but it was going to be a double-overtime game, unless some fight broke out, extending the clock stoppage action.
So, when the score was 90-84 with just over a minute left in the fourth quarter, I already "knew" that the Nets were going to come back and tie the game. It was something like 1:12 a.m. and the game was supposed to play until 2 a.m. So knowing I was going to see a decent collapse at the end of regulation was kind of calmed a bit because I knew it was going to happen.
And likewise, it made the first OT pretty boring to watch. I just wanted to see them skip to the second OT because unless there was some sort of fight in the first OT, it was obvious there was going to be a second OT the minute it started."Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown

Just what they need a team that's going to smash them and their best player might not play.

I actually anxious to watch Bledsoe tonight...I would not mind trying to trade for him if the Clippers re-sign Paul.

Well, at least it was an entertaining, spirited effort.

Pistons are 7-20 with 55 games left. If they play .500 the rest of the year that would be 28 more wins for a total of 35. Not sure how realistic .500 is though.
Although, after 27 games last year the Pistons were 7-20 as well.VT

The month of December continues to be very bad for Monroe.
He is averaging 12.4 PPG, 8.5 RPG 3.3 APG .5 BPG 1 SPG and 2.9 TO. He is doing so while shooting 64% from the line with a TS% of 45%.VT

At the rate the pistons are going, they will be a perennial mediocre team that ends up with roughly the eighth to tenth draft pick every year. They really need to seriously tank a season and get a top three draft pick so they can draft a superstar / go to guy that they will never get being merely mediocre.
There is no liberal media, only corporate media.

REally? I think a 19 year old Drummond gets drafted ahead of a 22 year old Lillar, particularly with the age old wisdom of a dominant big man being more important the a dominant PG.
And who would argue Waiters? Dude's shooting at a sub .400 clip...no chance I'd listen to any argument with Waiters being considered a better choice.Last edited by DaBishop; 12-18-2012 at 04:01 PM.

One of the reasons why Lillard gets picked over Drummond. He gives you results today, where you get them from Drummond 3 years from now, maybe a bit longer. A GM that picks Drummond might not be around when he starts producing like a top pick should.

Also, depending on team needs, a team could well value Lillard over Drummond setting aside the timing of production.

Dumars will make up for it next year when he drafts Trey Burke.
BTW, no comment on the ESPN thread about Hall of Famers that leaves both Dumars and Isiah out and ranks Bill Laimbeer as the best Piston? Gotta love stat head NBA guys....
Speaking of which, SOMEBODY HIRED JOHN HOLLINGER?the above opinion is not respected by Deleterious
