Don't expect this to the first win, out best shot is against Orlando on Friday night. 0-9 here we come.

I was about to say I think Maggette is playing tonight, but D has a link and has beat me to the punch.

According to the paper, the Pistons are nine-point dogs tonight. Man, I think if I was a betting man, I might put some action on the Pistons.

It wont shock anyone that at least statistically, the reserves are the Pistons best lineup. The starters are just getting crushed.

Those are the only four lineups with double digit minutes. Monroe-Drummond have played together once for 4.2 minutes and they were +7 in that time. You can view all the lineup combos here:

So do we throw a prop bet out when we all think Maggette will miss another game due to some sort of injury?

The question is, do you bet it by games or quarters.

My quick takes are (being fully aware of small sample size):

    a. line-ups with Knight average 0.9 pts/possession, whereas line-ups with Bynum average 1.1 pts/possession. That is disconcerting.

    2. The only difference in the 2nd line-up and 3rd line-up is English for Stuckey, yet the performance is completely different (largely due to defense). I don't doubt match-ups played a role, but damn.

I guess we'd have to use time of the game you select as an ultimate tiebreaker. The person getting closest, including those who go over.

Oh, I was just making a joke that he might be hurt before tonights game is over. That is why I wanted to use quarters. Comedy isn't my specialty.

Back into the swing of things. My starting balance is 10,695.67.

    I'm taking Det +8.5 (-115) for 250.
    Monroe over 17 pts (-120) for 250.
    Monroe over 9 rebounds (-120) for 250.

FWIW, the line hasn't moved at all since they announced Stuckey wont play.

That doesn't tell us anything concrete. But if a team lost someone of importance, you would expect it to move a bit.

When I saw the line where it was, and then your post about Stuckey being out, it didn't change my opinion about that being a better or weaker bet. I don't know what Singler is going to do, but he's been one of the people worth watching this year, while watching Stuckey has been painful for the most part, minus a quarter or two here and there.

Philadelphia broadcasters said Ben Wallace has not filed his retirement paper work yet. Let me be the first to start the rumor he will sign with LA/Miami/NY/OKC at the trade deadline.

With Kwame Brown out there, it's like you have five people to dish it off to. If you can't find a teammate, throw it to Kwame. It'll bounce off his hands into a Pistons' players hands.

I didn't know much about him minus what I read here and around the internet. So far, I've enjoyed watching him play. I couldn't say one way or the other if I liked his selection at the time of the draft because I really knew nothing about him.

Offensive foul by Maggette. I wonder if that would put his win shares in the negatives.
