I think the Pistons are going to have more success over the next four to five weeks than they have had so far. The schedule gets much better with longer home stands. The Pistons will actually get in some practices. I bet they haven't had more than two or three all year. I know a couple of weeks ago they said they had their first day of just practice. I can't recall the exact date, but it wasn't too long ago.

It is nice playing another team without a true center to protect the paint. It also makes me wonder how good Monroe could be if he played with a quality center.

    PISTONS: Charlie Villanueva Injury Update

Just as I suspected. Posterior tibial tenosynovitis.

I just got back to work after watching a prep game. Pistons were leading by 13 when I walked in the office. Minus that, I don't know much.

I will say this. I like hearing John Long on the radio over Mahorn any day.

Nice to see they finally won one. I dropped dead last night and didn't even get to see the replay.
    Oh well.

Apparently Knight had a great night.
    26 pts
    7 asts
    0 TURNOVERS!!!!

Isn't this the same team he did nothing against earlier this week?

Monroe's numbers look nice as well.

The Bucks had 10 assists for the game. With how liberal the NBA is with the term assists, is that even possible?

If Charlie V never plays another game and the Pistons are forced to pay him off to sit the bench the rest of his career, I can semi-live with that. It'll tick me off he's here, but I don't ever want to see that guy on the court again.

He came out on a mission. I don't think Knight is a natural scorer in the sense that he is always looking for his shot so it was good to see him do some of that in the game against in Milwaukee.

Knight isn't a natural scorer? That is the knock on him that he is not a true point guard, likes to score it more then pass it.

    Pre-draft Scouting report:

Strengths: Heady point guard with great size and explosive scoring ability ... Very natural scorer with an effortless shooting ability and excellent instincts off the dribble

Weaknesses: Not a pure point guard ... Ball handling ability needs a lot of work. His dribble is too high and will be easy to pick unless he improves upon it ... Passing ability is respectable, but not intuitive ... Very turnover prone, especially when trying to create for others

When I say natural scorer, I mean scoring mentality...and maybe that is the way I should have phrased it. There is a difference. Lebron James is a perfect example. He is a great scorer but he has more of a playmaking mentality. He is just so good at scoring that he has does that a ton of that as well.

I don't think Knight has the skills to be a great scorer or a great playmaker, because of the weaknesses you mentioned above. I do think, like Lebron, he would rather set up his teammates, than score himself.
