Indiana should be improved. I wonder if Paul George grew more between the last preseason game and tonight's game.

I can't believe Jerebko ignored my question on twitter to him as to whether I should start him or Daye in fantasy basketball!

Kind of excited about watching a real game tonight.

Lottery team...go for the draft pick!
I'm pretty sour on the NBA so the Pistons are going to be a non-factor in my life right now. I love the Pistons enough to have a Pistons license plate on my truck but I just dont care. Good luck to them I guess because they are going to need it.Country strong

As much as I like the Pistons and want them to do well, it's hard to be optimistic when you know they have absolutely no chance to do anything this year with Miami, Chicago, Boston, and New York around.
I just want to see the young guys play a lot and see what we have in them. Knight should be starting imo, and starting Stuckey with Gordon is just not going to work well. I love Jonas and Monroe and think pairing Knight with them can be a nice young core to build around. I really like the hiring of Lawrence Frank and I think he will get a lot more out of these guys than Kuester did.
A .500 season would be a success as of now as there is not much else to hope for. Playoffs would be a tremendous success even if they go 1 and done. Hopefully they prove me wrong and play really well as it would be nice to see more than small group of people at the Palace again2013 AAT: SS Jhonny Peralta

Maybe there's a method to the madness - start Stuckey and Gordon together to prove it can't work and then Knight can "earn" himself the starting position in the lineup.
I'm always a person that likes to make people "earn" spots as much as possible, even if that means setting it up in a way that it makes that more possible.
I can live with Knight not starting tonight. If he's not starting in Feb. and clearly should be, then I'll have issues."Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown

Will the way the season is this year help or hurt rookies? Less games and shorter season - that's a plus. But there's a lot of games in a short period of time. I'd think that would benefit youth, certainly not the 30+ veteran.

Well this isn't a positive. FSD+, the station that is supposed to show the game, is showing the EPL review show. And FSD is showing the U-M basketball show like they are supposed to.
Looks like someone may have screwed up their programming and it's going to cost me big time. And on the negative side, I already watched the EPL review show."Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown

As the years have gone on, the Pistons have become my primary Detroit sports fix during the winter.
I've always been a Pistons' fan, but I think when I left to Illinois and came back, that was the team I NEVER got to watch. The Wings were great and had tons of games on TV. the Tigers weren't on TV much, but the games (at the time) were free on the internet for audio broadcasts - even archived until the next game began. The Lions, well, I was still going back and forth to all home games on the weekends. And because it was Chicago and the Lions were relatively decent, there were even road games that were routinely on TV while I lived there. But there were sports bars I could find that would have the game on.
The Pistons were the exception. They were never on cable and had no internet audio availability at the time. If the Pistons weren't getting waxed by the Bulls, I didn't get to see them. So when I moved back, I realized just how much I missed them. Since then, they've easily overtaken the Wings during the winter."Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown

The lowlight of the game - my wife just saw the Megadeath commercial. Darn, looks like I know where I'm going to be in Feb.

It is a major struggle for the Pistons to even get open shots.

Knight missed that shot, but it was nice seeing the "extra" pass about three times during that possession. We NEVER saw that last year.

Well, we already bought the Megadeth tickets. This assures the worst night I will have at the Palace will not involve the Pistons.

This is not a promising start to the season. Pistons can't even get a shot to the rim. It's all turnovers or blocked shots.

We could have the entire 12-man bench in the paint and Indiana would get at least fouled.

We're going to be driving through Ohio during the season-opener. I'm going to have to get a nice collection of Cavs' radio stations so I can listen to the game through the state.

Wow, what looks like should be an easy transition hoop off a steal barely results in a shot.

14-for-37 shooting with 2 and some change left in the half. 7 assists.

The Pistons might as well put no one in the paint. They aren't defending it anyway.
Indy gets to the line 16-for-20, and 11 offensive boards. That's just one half."Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown

The defensive effort has been there but a ton of turnovers and offensive rebounds still allowed the Pacers to score 50 in that half. I am just going to have to bite my tongue this year...I know we are bad but that does not make it any easier to watch. Jerebko had a nice half but he was the only one. Ben put up some nice defensive numbers but it was offset by some easy misses. Stuckey was o.k.

The Pacers ORB% is 45.8% right now. How does a team rebound half of its own missed shots?

Or my favorite way to do rebounding stats....
When Indy misses a shot
Indy: 11 boards
Detroit: 13 boards
When Detroit misses a shot
Detroit: 3 rebounds
Indy: 19 rebounds"Only Lions fans can predict a victory when their starting quarterback has a broken arm." -unknown
