    Default Let's Go Kings!

Here's hoping Dustin Brown's hands never touch the Clarence S. Campbell bowl.

First two games announced for Sunday and Tuesday. The league will wait to see what happens with the NBA. The potential of 3 teams sharing Staples should make for interesting scheduling.

Only one of the games is on regular tv. That's too bad, since I have to get before 5 am most days next week I probably can't be hanging out at bars so late.

    Oh well.

Kings continue their roll, despite Quick letting one in from Scottsdale. 3-2 final, Dustin Brown with the winning goal.

Brodeur ROBS Staal late in 3rd to keep score 1-0 Rangers. Staal had the entire net, in the slot from 8 ft out and Brodeur moved across from left to right to make an Unbelievable save.

Too early to call LA as Western Conference champs? Probably not. 3-0 Kings late in 2nd. Coyotes showing nothing.

So let me get this straight. Wings spanked by Preds in 5, Coyotes roll over Preds in 5, now the Kings are crushing the Coyotes!

Phoenix deserves to get swept, honestly. After the slash on Dustin Brown, I hope the media's done fawning over Mike Smith and what a "good guy" he is.

What a roll the Kings are on.

    - 10-1 in the playoffs
    - 7-0 on the road
    - haven't trailed a game since Game 1 of the 2nd round
    - have given up more than 2 goals in a game only 1 time, back in the 1st round
    - have beaten two division winners, the #1 and #2 seeds, and leading a third division winner, the #3 seed

If it continues into at least the SCF, it should go down as one of the most impressive playoff stretches ever.

What was even more maddening than the slash was that Brown got 2 for diving.

And... just like that there will be a game 5.

The Kings need to come up with a new slogan though... a team that I can't stomach used the phrase "Why not us?" in 2004...

I bet Phila is wondering why they ridded themselves of Carter and Richards. What were they thinking?

3-2 LA. Richards. Scores then gets his own rebound out of the net and puts it in again for good measure.

Kings take a 3-2 lead. Now 4 minutes left in the 2nd. But Yandle just ties it! As I sit here listening to the Kings radio broadcast sipping a coffee in a garden in Taipei, having just completed my Wednesday breakfast.

Doughty robbed again, first on being called on a penalty that wasn't his, then on an off-side call against him that wasn't right either. Doughty has EVERY RIGHT to be pissed.

3-3 nearing end of 1st OT.

That was a fantastic game to watch. Drew Doughty was getting heated and then with the Dustin Brown/Rosaval collision tempers flared even further and emotions were really on high to close out the game.

Pretty sad display by Phoenix fans - littering the ice with garbage. I would expect that crap from those pukes in Montreal. That city doesn't deserve a team. Off to Quebec you go, Coyotes.........

Nice to be able to hear the game on radio there. Visited Taipei, Keelung, and Kaoshiung '72,'73 while in the Navy.
