    OT in Boston.

Paul Pierce misses the second free throw after a stupid Noah foul. Great stuff.

    Thanks for this thread, jon.

I will post about the Celtics and Da Bulls game here instead of the Pistons/Cavs thread.

I thought Da Bulls would just roll over, but they came to Boston with the intent of winning today's game. Rose has played well.

The Celtics have gotten nothing out of Ray Allen today, and I haven't been that impressed with Paul Pierce either. As for Stephon Marbury, why play him? He has given the Celtics nothing.

    That was a good stop.

Now, Pierce needs to do his thing.

I usually don't cheer for the Bulls, but when it comes down to playing the Celtics, I'm cheering for anyone to beat them.

Good work in Game One from the Bulls.

    Awesome.

    Eat it Celtics.
Every time you play a hand of you poker you wanna run through a mental check list. Head Position Hand Position Neck Position Breathing Posture. More than 25 items. It's a lot. And that why I've come up with a handy mnemonic device. Just one word: HPHPNPBPECMSPAMDCPAFTSTTL. It's easy.

I wonder if Marbury will be getting any more minutes in the postseason. He has looked awful.

Why would he get more minutes. He is a backup to Rondo. He will probably 6-8 minutes per game.

I have to say I am stunned Pistons fans are rooting for the Bulls in that series.

I know Boston eliminated Detroit last year, but with the Pistons/Bulls rivalry in the past from the Jordan/Thomas days and then couple of years ago, I figure people here would root for the Celtics.

Nope, les. I followed sports starting in the 90s.

With that said, the Pistons/Bulls rivalry was personal and nasty, which started the creation of the Jordan Rules.

Somehow, I could never envision Bulls fans rooting for the Pistons ever.

Honestly, I think it has more to do with who the underdog is. If Chicago was the 2 seed, I'd be rooting for Boston

The Pistons/Celtics rivalry in the 80's was downright violent.

And a Bulls fan probably wouldn't ever cheer for the Pistons. The Bulls didn't have a big rivalry with anyone else but the Pistons like the Pistons did. Trust me, those playoff series in the 80's were intense.

It seems like most basketball fans are already sick of the Celtics after one year. I wouldn't be sad to see the Celtics go down, but I prefer they go down in the next round.

I wonder if the Celtics miss KG's leadership. He is such a great player, but at the same time, I thought the Celtics could get by in this game and in this series. It just seemed the Celtics had no energy out there.

The one thing I remember about that series was the play with Isiah and Larry Bird. That's the only thing I can think of. Isiah threw the ball to Bird, and Bird scored.

As far as the Bulls/Pistons series goes, that was a great rivalry. I knew guys were fighting with one another back then. It was so bad that Isiah and Co did not bother shaking hands with the Bulls when that series was over in 1991. I think people have made too much of an issue over that. I had no problem with what Isiah did in snubbing the Bulls for a handshake.

Bird passed to DJ who hit the layup.

    Robert Parrish and Laimbeer.
    Kevin Mchale and Laimbeer.
    Mahorn and whoever.

Trust me, it was nothing like the rivalry with the Bulls. Not to mention, when Detroit was winning championships, Chicago couldn't hang with them in a playoff series. And vice versa. They really didn't have any close playoff series.

Dallas and SA going down to the wire.. it's close and it's in the 4th. Great back and forth action. SO much on tonight but this has grabbed my attention. Still not sure who I'm supporting between the two but since 'lesgo' is a Spurs/Pistons fan, I might just have to side with him/you.

The Spurs sure can piss a guy off. When I want them to lose, they win. When I want them to win, they lose. I'm not really a Spurs fan, I just live in San Antonio and this town is fun when they go deep into the playoffs. That and I have multiple connections for tickets.

Look at your avatar, your open hatred for the sox, and now you are a bulls basher. you're not a minnesota fan...you're a Chicago hater. you live to hate chicago and its' teams/fans/people. you've been exposed time and again. I don't mind it but it makes it difficult to take you seriously when your bias is so obvious...

So why would you care one way or another? Why worry about what I think? Chicago sports fans is going through a golden age of success right now. Just enjoy it and forget about what I have to say. You guys are having the last laugh so why be upset? I don't get it. Saturday was the worst day I ever had in my life. I would think you would enjoy what's going on instead of fretting about what I have to say.

I am indifferent about the Spurs. They ain't winning a championship especially with Manu out for the year so I am not getting that excited. I would only root for them if they play the Lakers or Da Bulls.

Great. Just because he had a great first half does not exactly shed the image of him being a ballhog. Last year's Finals is all I had to know about him. A leopard does not change his stripes ever.

    That surprised me yesterday.

Didn't Orlando had an 18 point lead?

I didn't watch the game as I rarely watch sporting events on Sundays, but that was a game the Magic should have won especially with them being the home team.

I don't like all chicago sports...just the bulls. and besides what is with your obsession with chicago? since it consumes so much of your life and your thought pattern, one could easily say:

Timberwolf is in love with Chicago.

Well when someone spits at your face, threatens you, and call a derogatory name as f-got like I experience at Yankee Stadium in September with White Sox fans, it's understandable why would I have it in for those type of people?

that makes perfect sense but those are sux fans. bull fans are cool. don't let one guy ruin your life. don't let one moment in time consume all your being. he probably doesn't even remember...yet you obsess about it. you're better than that timberwolf. you've been posting on forums since the late 90's. i've seen your posts on forums that don't even exist anymore. you're more intelligent than that!
