I'm so old, I actually remember when he did the weather on tv.
And he was great in Braveheart."My God, his curveballs are beautiful!"

The most entertaining weather guy I've ever witnessed. He always kept me interested - and heck, I was a kid. Classy, witty and good at what he did. There will never be another like him. RIP Sonny.

It was Sonny who paved the way for the Williard Scott's & Al Roker's of the world. A kind, decent, honorable man who always found a way to put the spotlight on someone else. RIP.

Sonny spent 18 months in a German POW camp as a Jewish enemy combatant. Try to imagine what that was like.
But tonight, I say we must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!
