    Default Sonny Eliot - RIP - 91

Came to MI after his TV days, but fondly remember his "Barky Report" for Wings games on radio.

I'm so old, I actually remember when he did the weather on tv.

And he was great in Braveheart.
I read an average of three posts from each thread. Two of which are mine.

The most entertaining weather guy I've ever witnessed. He always kept me interested - and heck, I was a kid. Classy, witty and good at what he did. There will never be another like him. RIP Sonny.

It was Sonny who paved the way for the Williard Scott's & Al Roker's of the world. A kind, decent, honorable man who always found a way to put the spotlight on someone else. RIP.

This is the truth, billie. The likes of Sonny Eliot won't be seen again any time soon.

Sonny spent 18 months in a German POW camp as a Jewish enemy combatant. Try to imagine what that was like.

It's because chalkboards were replaced by whiteboards which were replaced by digital magic.

    Two words: Costa Rica.
