    Default RIP Marvin Hamlish

Talented guy. Liked a lot of his music.
    68 is too young.

Composer Marvin Hamlisch dies at 68

I did not recognize his name until I saw his list of music.

He pretty much preserved ragtime music for the modern era with his work on The Sting. (My all time favorite movie, btw.)
‎"For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land."

William Earnest Harwell (1918-2010), from the Song of Solomon.

Sadly the only reason I know his name is from...hides head...How To Lose a Guy In Seven Days. After reading the music he has written, I see I know him better than I thought. RIP to a great composer of music.
