Not in and of itself. The way you call a post superficial can be smug, flippant and dismissive. The way you quoted my initial opinion and responded with just, "Kind of superficial" came off to me as stand-offish and dismissive. Had you phrased it differently, explaining yourself more up front, I wouldn't have gone into defense mode.

I would argue that this is more smug than anything I have posted so far.

Please show me where I said the guys sucks. Please show me where I said I hate him. And don't use generalizations, "Well you said this, which could be interpreted as this..."

I never said you said either of those things. I said I would rather listen to someone well informed than someone who sucks. I didn't say you said he sucked.

Also, telling me what or how to post, I dunno. Kind of smug

I know, he kind of always sounds like that, and like a mush mouth. I bet he has a small hole (a crack) in his upper palate (the roof of his mouth) and air goes in and out of it. I had minor surgery on mine when I was about 20 and I sounded like that for about a year. Glad it went away.

Yeah that was written in Dec 2007 and here it is 2011 and Valenti's still on. Meanwhile Mr. Henson's been through several jobs since. Also pretty bush of Henson mentioning why a 45K a year guy needs an agent.

EDIT: I know he was a GM at WDFN. I believe he was just an on-air personality at WXYT.

He was Program Director at both. The GM at WDFN was Peter Connelly and at WXYT it was Rich "Let me get back to you on that" Homberg.

You're saying Rona Danzinger and her "marvelous" handling of WDFN means she was un-important lol? The fruit were rotting on the vine on that one and she did nothing to try and save her crops. Are you sure she could do anything to stop it? I have been a Program Director - and twice I had really good numbers and wouldn't play stupid games with consultants and was fired - replaced by a PD that would play the games and both times the stations went south - very quickly.

I think Henson was allowed to do what he wanted and when he had a hint he couldn't he bolted. I don't think Rona was probably ever given a chance to actually be a PD. I didn't work there, so I don't know. I just know that today Program Directors are for the most part button-pushing monkeys that either have no ideas or are scared s**tless to ever speak their minds. Wonder why radio is such a mess?

I tried listening on Tune In this week and there's a message that the broadcaster requested the station be removed from their app. It's still woking on the AOL Radio app, though,.

You know what they are probably trying to do? Lauch their own app (CBS Radio), that you'd have to pay for.......which is the exact opposite of what they should do. At least corporate radio is consistent on always doing the exact opposite of what they should.

MCS, the logic of that is hard to deny. I doubt I would spring for the app unless it was, meh $.99 cents or something. BTW, the previous iteration on Tune IN had the most obnoxious intrusive, constantly repeating ads. iHeartradio (wdfn) is much less obnoxious.

Based on half the commercials I've heard this morning, sounds like 1270 will go to strict talk and not be a sports station in a few weeks.

Too bad Mark Scott died. That was a morning staple for me in college.
