More good local radio news...
Looks like our local radio guy Detroit Folly is changing time slots, and sleep schedule. Glad to hear Ann is back Craig, good luck with the time change.

WDET dials up more local music
Detroit public radio station WDET-FM (101.9) is adding 10 hours of locally produced music and three hours of live, interactive national news programming, according to general manager J. Mikel Ellcessor. He also says former personality Ann Delisi is returning to the public radio station Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. with "Ann Delisi's Essential Music."
Morning Edition," the live morning news and analysis program, will run 5-8 a.m. and will be followed by the new national news program "The Takeaway" (8-10 a.m.). "Detroit Today," the locally produced news show hosted by Craig Fahle, will air 1-3 p.m. The NPR program "On Point," hosted by journalist Tom Ashbrook, has been added to the lineup, airing 10-11 a.m., and "Tell Me More" moves to 11 a.m.Cogito Ergo Zoom...Grief is not like fear. fear tastes like rust and you can spit it out. grief has no taste, and you cannot get familiar with it.

Wow, a radio station actually ADDING local content. I bet their pledge drive goes a lot better.....
My station fired our extremely popular morning guy and replaced him with....nothing, we do not have a live or even a voicetracked voice on our airwaves from 6 to 9 am. I wonder what will happen for the next snowstorm when the roads are bad......i guess nobody will be listening.
Cumulus is stupid and frankly I don't care if they know that I am putting this in a public forum. To hell with them.AAT: VICTOR MARTINEZ

My dentist has Magic 105.1 on. I've been there 3 times in the last week. Ryan Secrest is the "host" and it's so cheesy the way they try to make it sound local. They'll splice in him saying "Magic 105.1", then cut to his stupid celebrity stories and gossip.
I hate the way radio is going..

Keeps doing the opposite of what it should. They see hiring local people as an expense and just an expense, but in reality hiring local people - they strengthen their spot in the community and bring in more revenue eventually. But they only care about the next quarter, and how well has that served so many other businesses?

Most of the music I own is because...
of listening to WDET in the day. With Craig playing some of his own music and the addition of Ann Delisi, things have to be on the mend.
