I have a lot of friends who don't like the show this year, and I have to admit MLB 2k10, though has its issues, is actually a good game. I think they are figuring it out, and already can't wait for next years. It is worth trying if you guys do not enjoy the show.

We might have the same player. I have one other extra base hit besides my homer and the rest are singles. Drew a walk and I strike out at least once a game.

So I hit a bullett up the right center field gap...yay an extra base hit!!! I round 2B heading to third, slide head first...and break my GD forearm. Out for 2 and a half months. Go from starting every game in RF, to a PH that plays an occasional 1B.

Suck it.

I'm over halfway through the season, just passed the All-Star game. I made my guy a SS/IF, and I was starting everyday at SS, but hit a hitting slump, so now I'm playing randomly all around the infield spots.

Off the top of my head I think I'm hitting around .285 with 2 HR's, and 16 RBI's. Quite a few strikeouts though. Some games I'll be hitting like crazy, other games it's like I'm not even close.

The major glitches are in franchise mode, which makes it unplayable. I've shelved the game until the developers get back from their unearned vacation and issue a patch. I'll stick with my Madden franchise.

ah I havent played Franchise mode... it takes too long to make it through just one season playing every game let alone a few.

Anybody have a date for the roster update? If you log on to Sports Connection it will give you the roster updates. It listed Fien coming off the Tigers roster.

So they are making changes.

I too am stuck playing RTTS until they get Jackson and Sizemore on the team. I also found it funny that during my first RTTS season as an Erie Seawolf the Tigers demoted Nate Robertson to AA. And he sucked...hahaha.

I'm not exactly sure what roster update you are referencing, but Jackson and Sizemore will not be in the game until after opening day, most likely the first roster update after that. I know a few guys at operation sports who are doing a huge roster update, complete with actual minor leaguers that is aiming for a release right around opening day as well. That is the one that has most MLB 10 players waiting to start their franchises.

It was monday I think. Also those guys wont be on team until the first roster update past opening day

In my RTTS, i am a week into my 3rd season (playing 3b which has barely any fielding opportunities and only doing lead runner with 1/4 team at bat or whatever, so I go through games quickly, also had a stint on the DL). In 2 seasons and 1 week, I have been traded 4 times. I started in Detroit, got traded with a made up prospect who had A potential and Scherzer for Pujols, then got traded with that same prospect to the mets for David Wright a week later. Second season I got traded to the Giants (I dont remember the trade) and to start the third season I just got traded back to Detroit.

That trade logic is awful. This game is useless to me until it's patched.

I think every RTTS player has to be hurt at some point or another. I tore my calf muscle at the AS Break in my second season...which of course ended my season. I just started that set of Achievement Goals...so I basically got screwed there. I had gotten all the goals completed for the last 2 sets before that. I was also on fire at the plate (.323 5 HRs with 50 RBIs) and ranked # in the org....so I figured I'd atleast get a Spring Training invite and then make the roster. Nope...back in Toledo for the 3rd (well, 2.5) season.

I actually kind of like the random trades. You literally never know what is going to happen.

Can't wait till the patch hits and we get the real Tigers roster.

How do you get the Operation Sports roster update? I am a new PS3er.

new update today fixes the game freezing when intentionally walking in an online game as well as allowing a player to only be traded once per season by the computer among other things.

cool I've not been able to do any gaming the last few nights but I'm looking forward to this update. I'll go ahead and put the update in. I've actually been playing a bit of online games... walked a guy intentionally lots of times with no freezeups. Anyway, I'm liking the game a lot more than I was for the simple fact that you can play it online and you can't really with 09. I have a blast playing online and getting my arse kicked.

Finished my first season, can't figure out how to see my finals stats from last year, but I'm pretty sure I ended up with an average around .270-.280, 2 HR's, and somewhere around 30 RBI's. Hit my first triple right towards the end of the year too.

Got offered a one-year contract (32K originally, but bumped it up to 35K) with the Tigers to be a minor league starter, so I took that.

So 11 games into the second year, I'm starting at SS & have a .265 average (got off to a terrible start. Don't think I had a hit for the first few games.), 0 HR's & 4 RBI's.

When they release it it will be available to download in the games online options. It will be in the community files or whatever, I don't have it pulled up right now so its tough to say for sure what the section is called.

The OS roster will be on the roster vault by opening day or a week after. It'll be called "OS Full Minors" or something like that. Knight (the guy who made them last year) is working with an actual MLB scout over at OS for them, so they should be pretty accurate. I'm waiting for them to come out before I start my franchise, personally.

Thank you for saying what I was trying to in a way people can actually understand.

After a little break, I got back into my RTTS today only to find myself being traded to the Yankees. They gave up three players to get me, but now I am stick behind Tex and Nick Johnson. Does anyone know how the offseason works? I am on a one year deal so I will be a free agent, but as a D overall with A potential, what is the market like? If I don't just resign with my team will I get offers?

They own your rights, they have all that stuff set up like real life. You basically are going to be signed by the Yankees as long as they want you, which they likely will. You will be under their control until you get enough years to become a free agent.

After my first season, there was a week or so period that the Tigers had first dibs on signing me. I chose just to re-sign with them, but if I didn't, after that, then there would have been a period where all teams can make offers. At least that's how it looked following the events on the calender.

I would assume it's just like 09, and the real MLB. Meaning you would only have a choice at becoming a FA after 6 seasons of ball (if they have minor league FA's set). But then it would become 6 seasons after you first get called up, as they could auto resign you, then arb you for 3 seasons.

If you don't work out a contract with them before that week is up then they can just Autoresign you for whatever amount they want to, or release you. But since you're in RTTS I doubt they would release you.

At the end of your first season, there is an Interaction that says something to the effect "I want to stay with your ball club...blah blah blah." They signed me again right away.

BTW, after your first season you basically don't do anything for the off season. After you are signed, you can sim to Spring Training. If you don't get invited to Spring Training, you might as well sim to the regular season...you can't do anything than either. I was kind of bummed by the off season. I was hoping I could train, or do something. But you basically just have live game play to gain training points.

BTW, I started a 1B and it is pretty easy to get training points with the power and all the automatic putouts. In my first season I have been traded twice (from the Indians to the Braves, and now to the A's). But since I get all these training points every game, I am ranked #1 out of all the AA 1Bs. I am still waiting for my call up.

Sorry I am a new PS3er, where is the roster vault? Do I go to Sports Connect (or whatever The Show's online game play is called)?

I started a Marlins Franchise for the hell of it...but I am excited to get a real Tigers roster to work on.

You will log into sports connect, and then go to the roster vault.

I found it. Thanks Rip.

I downloaded a couple rosters. I found a decent one on page 28ish. It is called Detroit Tigers 2010. It pretty much has Jackson, Damon, and names for all the prospects through AA. I didn't really agree with some of the ratings, Strieby in particular. But it is an okay roster.

I am still going to wait for the OS Roster to come out before I start my Tigers Franchise.

I started a Marlins franchise a week ago. Hanley Ramirez is a beast! I am hitting .398 with 16 HRs (one behind Pujols for the NL Lead) in the start of June. Just as suspected, Cameron Maybin and Andrew Miller suck. I just took Miller out of the rotation after he started the year 1-4 with a 6.60+ ERA. It is crazy I'll throw a fastball that appears to be perfect on the meter...and it winds up over the heart of the plate. This game really is life-like!

Finished my second season in RTTS.

The Pros of the season

- I got called up from Erie to Toledo about halfway or so through the season.
- Once I was on Toledo, my average was over .300, and hitting seemed much easier.

The Cons

- Nearly all my stats in AA were worse in my second year.
- I'm now coming off the bench for Toledo to start my third season, even though I'm ranked 2nd out of 8 at my position in the Tigers organization.

So even though my stats weren't overall as good as they were in my first season, I had a nice run where I completed all my goals, so I got the call up.

Just to let you all know, people are uploading fake rosters titles O.S. Full Minors and things like that. These aren't accurate, so don't get too excited. It looks like the guys are going to have the roster out sometime tonight.

Still no word on the rosters from Operation Sports. Apparently something came up with one of the main guys doing the rosters & he turned them over to someone else, but still nothing. A mod shut down the thread & has just repeatedly said that they'll open it back up once there is an update.

Lots of people over there overreacting about the rosters not being out yet. Really kind of sad considering they're complaining about something that takes a lot of time for the people who are working on it to do, not to mention it's free. Like it's the end of the world that the rosters aren't out there yet.....

yeah that thread on OS is ridiculous. It's just a bunch of kids being stupid about it is the thing. Knight's devoted to the project and just had something come up. He'll finish them and they're worth the wait - I'm definitely waiting and just playing online and rtts until they come out to do my franchise.

The stuff that is going on over there right now is ridiculous. That is all I'll say about it.

In other news, somehow my rtts first baseman file got corrupted, I had just past the all-star break and was hitting .275 with two home runs and 24 rbi. I started over with a SP for the Tigers, and am now halfway through May. I'm in Erie and wasting away in middle relief until Nate Robertson got hurt and I got a spot start. I went 6 innings, 3 hits, 4 k's, 0 runs. I have met all of my goals so far. My only issue is that it is REALLY easy to accumalate training points as a pitcher.

Got off work an hour early tonight & checked OS and to my surprise, I see that the rosters have been released.

No work tomorrow, so I'll probably be starting up the Franchise & getting a decent amount of games in tonight.

it was like that in 08 too, i just figured it was because starting pitchers only pitch every 5 days while batters play every day

Tigers rosters need some work. A couple guys on them that have been cut. Some interesting choices as well like Oliver as a B potential and a couple other pitchers with A potentials that dont deserve it like Putkonen.

Also Brad Thomas isnt even on the rosters, and he is on the MLB team.

From what I gathered it seems like the rosters were kind of rushed together and released, with the guys working on them saying they were still a work in progress.

Agreed, Knight on OS said that he knew people were eager to play with the rosters now that the season has started, and these were good enough to play with. Not perfect, but good enough.

Found the first OS roster...its called OSfullminorv1.0. Looks pretty darn good to me too. Fairly accurate...Ryan Strieby got hosed, but still pretty good stuff.

Made my first big trade on the Tigers Franchise. Traded Inge for Ian Stewart and one of Colorado's "A" potential Starters.
