I didn't notice how terrible Strieby has been doing since Eldred was first called up until last night. He is now down to .191 on the season. Was really hoping after all the time he got to spend in ST with the team he would have a good line.

An inside look at Jacob Turner's start Monday -- and more - Coop Scoop
Jacob TurnerRight-hander Justin Turner put together a strong effort in the Mud Hens 2-1 extra-inning loss to Buffalo at Fifth Third Field Monday. Here is an inside look at his start ...
Turner came in to his fifth Toledo start with an 0-1 record and a 5.09 ERA. He had allowed 18 hits and 13 earned runs in 23 innings, striking out 16 but walking 12.
Monday's effort was his best for the Hens this season. He gave up just four hits -- only one of which left the infield -- and walked three while fanning three. Turner lowered his ERA with the Hens this season to 4.30 and also lowered his opponent's batting average against him to .210 while in Toledo.
I thought it was interesting to note that Turner got 10 of his 19 outs by groundouts (three strikeouts, one pickoff, four flyouts, one popout). There also was an error on a potential groundout, and three of the four hits against him were ground balls that didn't leave the infield.
Turner threw 101 pitches, 62 of which were strikes (61.4 percent). Here is the breakdown by inning ...
First inning: 18 pitches, 12 strikes (66.7 percent)
Second inning: 20 pitches, 12 strikes (60 percent)
Third inning: 11 pitches, 9 strikes (81.8 percent)
Fourth inning: 11 pitches, 6 strikes (54.5 percent)
Fifth inning: 13 pitches, 9 strikes (69.2 percent)
Sixth inning: 24 pitches, 12 strikes (50 percent)
Seventh inning: 5 pitches, 2 strikes (40 percent)
Obviously Turner's command began to waver later in the game (he was at 73 pitches, 48 for strikes (65.8 percent) through the first five innings). Here's a good example of that: Turner threw first-pitch strikes to 17 of the 26 batters he faced, which obviously is very good (65.4 percent). But if you take out the "wild" sixth and seventh, Turner threw first-pitch strikes to 15-of-20 (75 percent), which is even more impressive.
A few other numbers to contemplate: Turner reached an 0-2 count seven times, and recorded all three of his strikeouts -- along with three other outs and one walk -- in those situations. Turner fell behind just two batters 2-0, with one coming in the sixth (walk) and one being the lone batter he faced in the seventh (out). Turner had eight three-ball counts, which resulted in three walks, one strikeout and four other outs.
Finally, some pitch speeds for Turner. His four-seam fastball sat at 92-93 mph (18 at 92 mph, five at 93, one at 94) while his sinker sat at 90-91 mph (seven at 90, 24 at 91). Turner said after the game he was roughly 50-50 throwing the two fastballs, so obviously that isn't perfect, but you get the idea. His slider sat at 86 mph (nine at 86, one at 87, three at 88). His curveball sat at 79-81 mph (six at 79, three at 80, five at 81) and his change-up sat at 83-85 mph (one at 83, four at 84, six at 85).Up above, aliens hover, making home movies for the folks back home.
