I only know who the elder Bootcheck is because I remember seeing his picture in the back of an old Tigers yearbook, and I have a tendency to retain obscure and useless info.

Tigers also signed Tim Kelley, rhp ndfa out of Wichita State. Former teammate of Brian Flynn. They make a good pair: Kelley is 6'6 and Flynn is 6'8. Not organizational depth, but organizational height.

I had the same question, but milb.com still has him listed on the Pawtucket roster (and they're usually pretty prompt about updating a player's status).

I am not sure where to post this but today is an exciting day for my family and hopefully soon it may be transaction related. My cousin, Corey Cannon, has a pro try out tonight for the Houston Astros and our beloved Tigers. He is a small left hander, who last I knew was hitting 88-90 on the gun, and played Junior college ball for two years before graduating from Jackson C.C. He has worked hard with numerous privet coaches and pro try outs so hopefully he will land a contract with either team.

Just an update, the tryout was a fifth third in Toledo. It went well according to him, but no contract offer. I guess that each team has said that they want to take another look at him coming up. Hopefully this is a good sign.

Really nice hammer from Saupold. He's got some nice stuff, and despite a couple of early walks, looks like he throws a lot of strikes in the zone. I like him.

I see were on some web sites they had Colorado signing him and others had Detroit so I guess we have to wait for official confirmation from most likely the Detroit Tigers home web site

I know that Mark has the list of VSL/DSL kids that are coming stateside this year on TigsTown but it is presented as premium information. Is anyone aware if that list has been released for non-subscribing public consumption somewhere else?
