Careful. This will not be an easy game. Northwestern is always a trap game, and they can play. Michigan will most likely need to win out to even have a chance for the Big Ten Championship game, so every game is a must win.
Gardner impressed last week, but Northwestern is a better team than Minnesota. Denard is questionable as of now for Saturday, so it may be another Gardner start.

Is it wrong to hope for another game to see what Gardner can do against better competition?
"Thirty for me, that's yesterday," Valverde said. "It doesn't matter how many saves I have right now. The goal right now is the Tigers in first place, try to win every day, go to the playoffs and win everything."

Could be a very tough game no matter who plays QB for UM. I expect Mattison will have the defense ready to go for NW's run game. I hope they take care of business.

You do have to wonder how serious this injury is for Denard. If he's not starting now, will he be OK in a few weeks for OSU? Or are they just keeping him off the field now to ensure that he will be healthy in a couple weeks, and can play today if needed?
I am excited/anxious to see Gardner play against a little better competition today.

Northwestern drives right down the field for a TD. Pretty much all on the ground except for that great third down catch.

Touchdown Michigan! Gardner runs it in.
Great drive by Gardner. Wow. Made some strong throws, ran when he had room, and some great decisions on those offsides penalties.

Interior O-Line can't block and Gardner doesn't look so hot when people aren't wide open

21-14 Northwestern in the third quarter. The defense and offensive line is struggling big time.

Michigan is going to have to let Gardner take some shots, and get away from pure Lloydball. The run game is not working with this line.
Of course it doesn't matter if the defense can't get a stop.

Looks like good old fashioned Michigan football. By which I mean a boring predictable offense and a defense that can't shut down a spread offense.

Bend don't break defense there by Michigan. A couple big plays by Kovacs.
Michigan gets the ball back deep in their own territory down 3.
