I don't really enjoy following recruiting, but quantity matters as well as quality, given the somewhat random nature of how prospects pan out.

Msu will have a fine class. So will Michigan. It's anybody's guess as to what these classes will mean to each respective program 2-3 seasons from now.

Three game win streak in basketball.

Michigan is killing MSU in state which is fun because I don't have to read a bunch of articles in the Detroit papers about how MARK DANTONIO HAS TAKEN CONTROL OF MICHIGAN FROM THAT BLUNDERING FOOL RICH RODRIGUEZ. AMAZING STUFF FROM MSU!!!

But it's bad because I'll probably have to read a bunch of articles about how the key to Brady Hoke's success was getting guys from Michigan

I predict this confrontation will have a 0.00003% effect on in state recruiting, so it could be big

see, I can do it too!

Seriously though, whether I like it or not, a victory over a strong Michigan team is twice as sweet -- I hope both teams remain competitive for years to come.

Yes, and out of the four straight wins msu has, I think you would agree only one of those teams was "strong". Two of the three UM teams were the worst in school history. But hey, a win is a win.
