I caught two foul balls in the same game in different parts of the ball park in Comerica. That's rare.

7/14/1985:
Walt Terrell throws a no-hitter for 6.2 innings
vs. Twins when Brunansky doubles.
Sparky pulls Terrell for Hernandez in the 8th.
We won 8-0; giving up only the one hit.
I recorded the game on VHS and stupid me - didn't keep it.Last edited by Waterfallguy59; 06-01-2011 at 11:52 AM.

I was hoping to see a rarity yesterday: a game where neither team issued a walk. But alas, the Cubs issued an IBB in the eighth, and Marmol had a UBB in the 9th on the way to his epic meltdown.
I wonder when the last time there was a game with zero walks issued? This is one fine day to be nude.

I saw the Tigers clinch a playoff spot in KC in '06.
Here's the kicker though, I have in fact seen the absolute rarest of Tiger moments ever.....EVER....

At Friday night's game I saw the Mariners' Brendan Ryan ground out 6-3, 6-3, 6-4-3 DP on balls hit essentially to the same exact spot and speed in his first 3 AB. 4th AB? Pop-out to short to about the same spot.

I was at the Pittsburgh/Phillies game when the Phillies trailed 10-0. Pittsburgh's play by play guy, Jim Rooker I think his name was sad if the Phillies came back and won he'd walk home from Philly to Pittsburgh, needless to say the Phillies came back and won and although it wasn't during the season, he did live up to his deal and walked from Philly to Pittsburgh, he is a classy guy because he did it for charity.

On a silly note, Saturday evening I debuted a new white Tiger straw hat. My ST felt one was just too hot for this time of year. Will get it cleaned and bagged for the Spring.

I was at a West Michigan game that was in a sprinkler delay. A sprinkler or hose connection behind the mound was malfunctioning and they had to fix it before they could start the game.

I saw a walk-off balk yesterday at Comiskey Park.
MLB apparently does not keep a complete list of these, but here is something about the phenomenon posted at B-R just before the 2010 season:
Walk-off balks Baseball-Reference Blog Blog Archive
Between 1954 and 2009, there were 12 total walk off balks. However, there was at least one in 2010, and apparently there have already been three this year, including one just three weeks ago. This is one fine day to be nude.

Rarest thing I've seen? August 8, 2000. A's vs. Yankees @ Yankee Stadium. Yankees are down 3-2 headed to the bottom of the 9th. A's closer Jason Isringhausen throws two pitches. Home Run Bernie Williams. Home Run (newly-acquired) David Justice. Yankees win 4-3.
I was sitting in the Right-Centerfield bleachers, perhaps halfway back. I didn't see the Justice HR land, as it was just over the fence in Right Centerfield but not into the bleachers. Needless to say I knew where it landed, as the whole place just exploded.I'm a little verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. Range Factor is neither about a fielder's range, nor should it be much of a factor when discussing fielding prowess. Discuss.
