What the hell did I do? I only posted about 3 or 4 times and not once did I say anything bad. I guess you just aren't allowed to be a fan of another team at all or something. You have been banned for the following reason:
Tiger Troll?
Date the ban will be lifted: Never
I encourage you all to not take part in their community.Up above, aliens hover, making home movies for the folks back home.

They are incredibly pompous and thin skinned over there. They have no patience for fans of a rival team no matter how objective they are. They seemed to be tolerant for awhile, I have posted on their since April under the handle of 'Tigerclaw', but since the Sox have fallen into a rough spell, they have seemingly taken out their frustrations on anyone associated with the Tigers on there. Any forum that doesn't allow respectful opinions from other viewpoints isn't a good one in my opinion. At the top of their webpages they have the slogan "totally biased" and while it is their right to keep an environment like that, it is their loss if they are not going to be objective enough to keep respectful posters around from rival teams.

Sox fan input on Sox sites...
WSI (www.whitesoxinteractive.com) and Sox Talk (www.soxtalk.com/forums) are the 2 big kids on the block. I post in both, but much prefer Sox Talk. The conversations are generally (but not always) more intelligent, and the posters are more knowledgeable. WSI is a little more homer, and little less knowledgeable, but probably more mainstream.
For the record, I know Sox Talk has a number of Tiger fans posting with some regularity, along with a few other teams' fans (mostly other ALC teams, but others as well). They will allow that, though I think the "line" may be a little tighter for them than other fans, which i suspect is true here too. WSI, I am not sure if there are any Tiger fans posting.
There is also a 3rd site, www.southsidesox.com, which gets a fair amount of traffic. I don't post there, and wasn't overly impressed.
So in short, if what you are looking for is to make fun of the silly fans, then WSI has the market. If you want more informed (though admitedly sometimes more obnoxious) discussion, go with Sox Talk.Yes, I am a Sox fan.

I actually like SoxTalk.com better than WSI.
People are much nicer and friendlier. They just talk baseball while WSI, it's about hating everyone and you got a 125-year old female poster who acts like a 12 year old over there. You got a guy who got banned in Hangar just because he is obessed with the Cubs and how Chicago newspapers cover his baseball team. I think it's sad when a female poster acts like a fool over there yet so beloved while Hangar gets banned. That's all you need to know at WSI. People are so paranoid over at that board.
Soxtalk.com is the place to go. At least, they respect other teams and just talk baseball instead of acting like they have inferority complex. You would think winning a WS championship would end bitterness, but there are way too many MarySwiss like characters out there.

Midwest baseball fans generally are more intelligent. I've been all around the country visiting ballparks, talking to fans...there's no doubt that the heart of baseball beats in the midwest.

SoxTalk is great if you want to talk to twelve year-olds that get off by swaring every other word. WSI is for intelligent talk.

About Hangar....Hangar only got like a week ban. He chose not to come back, because if he can't talk about the Cubs, he really doesn't have anything to talk about. And most White Sox fans are sick of people like him, who are more concerned with the Cubs, being lumped in with the intelligent lot. It makes us look bad.

Well, I agree with him really. I am a member of both sites. I have been warned to stop Tiger Trolling at WSI, and since have stopped posting when I did not do anything wrong. On Sox Talk, I say about the same things, and the fans think I am just a classy Tigers fan. Sox talk is a very intelligent site. And, swearing is not aloud as much as you say it is at Sox Talk. They have tightened up the rules a bit.VT

WSI has been pretty cool with me. You just have to be completely objective and not get trapped into discussing things you think are either wrong or that you disagree with. It's a site for Sox fans and if someone wants to say that Crede is a better defender than Inge or that they'd rather have AJ than Pudge (or gets upset that you even call him Pudge) then you just have to let it go.

That's good to hear. It was pretty bad for a long time over there. For the most part, those were the sox fans the majority of sox fans couldn't stand being lumped in with. From the Ligue types to the flubsessed, we don't want our fan base associated with them.

I'd like to submit http://www.nysportsday.com/themofo to the Mets section.
Currently the longest running Mets board on the net. Was originally Metsonline.net before getting shut down, temporarily, by MLB. Great place to talk baseball or just get a laugh because the inmates basically run the asylum.
Also, go Tigers! Beat the bloody pulp out of those Yankee arsehats.

If you want a thinking-person's site that welcomes fans of their opponents, check out www.birdsinthebelfry.com, a site for Orioles fans. The number of posters is small but the signal to noise ratio on the message board is very high, something not often seen on fan websites.

My friend, Zoso Karl, who got banned at WSI, have decided to create a White Sox board.
It's called www.soxandthecity.net
It's a pretty good board. I love the designs and all.
I hope that board eventually beats WSI.Last edited by Timberwolf; 05-16-2007 at 12:04 AM.

Thanks T-wolf. Yeah, basically the story with WSI is no dissenting opinions are allowed period. That doesn't just go for outside fans, but long time posters and dedicated White Sox fans can get banned just for being generally negative about things even when it's warranted. That's their deal though. Their loss. I guess they don't realize that a message board is nothing without the people who, you know, post on it...

I am happy for him. To be honest though, I just discovered it by him tonight.
Message boards are so fun. You get to know people. You get to share happiness and misery with sports. That's one of the reasons why I love it here. It's fun to read people's emotions and reactions. Detroit sports fans are very hardcore. They are one of the best in the country which is why I am not surprised that this board has taken off."Thank you. My thoughts exactly. I did a search on facebook.com on Detroit Tigers for fansites and a fair few how many anti-Detroit Tigers sites exist, with so many comments added by St. Louis Cardinals fans, with a few Sox and Twins backers throwing in their 2 cents.
I thought the object of supporting your team is to spend more time concentrating on your own mob, and less on mindless spitting. There's banter, but the line has to be drawn somewhere, even on public forums.Last edited by DeTig Spartan; 05-30-2007 at 10:47 AM. Reason: Change wording

Does anyone know of the best SF Giants forum out there? I have checked the one listed many times in the past but I see they have just 5-10 people online at a time. Or is it that I'm so used to the greatness of the site that I shouldn't expect huge numbers elsewhere? Any help is much appreciated.
Retired. Thanks for the entertainment.
