Thats assuming the Lions lose at GB. If Atlanta loses one and the Lions win, Detroit finishes 11-5, Atlanta 10-6. Atlanta needs to win out to finish ahead of Detroit if they beat GB.

And it's not unthinkable that the Falcons jump N.O. for the 3rd seed and the Saints fall to 5th, which would mean Atlanta hosting Detroit in the opening round: Falcons beat the Saints tonight and a weak Tampa team next week, while the Saints also lose to Cam Newton and he Panthers.

If the Falcons lose to the Saints and the Lions beat the Packers, then the Lions get the #5 seed.

The other day Pat Caputo on 97.1 couldn't figure out how the Wild Card round worked. He thought the two Wild Card teams played each other. He was the Lions beat writer for years. That guy is so unbelievably stupid, I can't comprehend how he has a job as a writer. A listener pointed it out...that 6 plays 3 and 5 plays 4 and it only confused him further and he got a little snippy with the caller. Then a second caller did the same thing and he said "uhhhhh, well I don't know how they do that, maybe I'm wrong" and just sounded so stupid and then started telling what he thought would happen......he is the Matt Millen of Detroit radio.

lol at Caputo. That Bill guy in the morning knows next to nothing about sports too. The other day he mentioned the "Oklahoma City whatever they are" as the most irrelevant franchise in sports. Uhhh, really Bill? They are one of the most exciting young teams to watch with 2 of the best young players in the NBA. Anyone who watches a minute of basketball knows who Durant is.
