Any road win is a good win. No matter what the gripes are.

As others have stated, a win on the road in the NFL in week 1 is huge. It doesn't matter how you get the win as long as you win.

The Lions were clearly the better team and this is the first time I can say this in a long time.

Very happy for the win. Kansas City at home next week should be fun to watch.

There is a very decent chance the NFC North goes 4-0 in week 1. Only the AFC East OR the NFC East can potentially do that.

Also, did anyone notice the Bucs had a ****ing soldier carry the American flag? Awesome.

What would have topped this is "the soldier" carrying the flag while doing tricks on his motorcycle.

Oh Fantastic. I learned by this post below what I said previously was absolutely appropriate. Thanks for clearing it up.

This is a great win for us.

Winning against a playoff caliber team, on the road in florida (week 1 = extreme heat), with a dominating defense performance... and no major injuries (I'm being optimistic about delmas)... we've come a long way.

That's awesome that it's the first time since 2007 that both teams have won on the same day, although pretty sad I guess.

Also hopefully next week the Lions can blow out KC after they got whipped by Buffalo. But KC does have some O pieces that can score pretty easy.

Very true but our defensive line looked awesome today, making Blount not a factor. Delmas is saying via Twitter that he isn't injured, so that's good news for our secondary.

I wish I could have seen the game, but damn it feels good to start off with a win.

I don't think Castle is as bad as he looked today, and having Bowe and Breaston for the catches gives KC a pretty good core, hopefully they can stop them in the secondary.

Lions only gave up 56 yards on the ground. Blount was completely shut down, same with Earnest Graham.

Looking forward, we've gotta face another team with good backs next week in Charles & McCluster. Apparently Cassel was nothing short of awful this preseason (just going by what I heard the guys on Fox say), and he only threw for 120 yards today too.

Lions come back home, rock the house & start off 2-0. Keep that kool-aid flowing freely.

The defense (line) at home should be insane. KC better strap on the helmets good because they are going to get them knocked down their throats. Hopefully the second half play calling wont be all about the run (if we are in the lead). We have enough good receivers to do more then run first. Don't be too conservative as that becomes too predictable and smart teams figure that out real fast.

Tulloch was great yesterday too. The whole LB group was way better than what I saw last season.

Love looking at the standings and seeing 1-0. It is also nice to continue to hear the media pump up the Lions. Just keep winning.

Easier said than done, but if the Lions can go at least 4-4 on the road and at least 7-1 at home, they will clearly be in great shape.
