HA! Rodgers scrambling under intense pressure only to find a guy wide open while he's on the run. Unreal! We can make ANYONE look like a hall of famer. Look up the recently replaced Jason Campbell for proof.
Now I'm really off to the pub.Retired. Thanks for the entertainment.

has there been a packer play in the 2nd half where they didn't have a receiver running at least 5 yards from the nearest lion defender?

I love how channel 2 loses the HD wide screen feed when they put up their logo. This also happens when they put up weather warnings. Real rocket scientists over there.

this game is unwatchable. one of the worst games in 5 years. If Stafford is done for the year, yuck.

This game is brutal, just brutal, to watch. Looks like the Lions were looking at the wrong schedule and thought their bye week was today. Schwartz has a lot of work to do with this team. The defense blows beyond belief. The offense without Stafford and Johnson is lifeless. Pathetic display.

When building a team, the most important thing you must do is build an identity. When all of your talent is on offense, you get more talent on your offense. I would almost argue that they should have spent more draft picks on offense. If we could have managed Oher and Pettigrew, that would have been perfect.

The defense is so bad that the amount of offense needed to compensate would take years to acquire through the draft. There isn't enough talent to score 40 points per game which is needed to win games with this defense. Adding playmakers on defense takes pressure off the offense to have to score a ton of points to have a shot at a win. I think drafting defense is the way to get back to repectability quicker than offense.

The Lions are just not enjoyable to watch if Calvin and Stafford are not playing.

He's been starting all year. He has been starting at LT since Gaither was hurt. But yes, Oher should be Rookie of the Year.
You can't look to turn around a franchise in one offseason. It's not any easier to build a defense than it is to build an offense - so might as well start where you have the most talent. The notion that defense wins champions is bull.

Awesome INT from Levy. Doing more than Sims has in a long, long time... an INT, a fumble, and a FR all in one play. Sims, as usual, just watched it all happen.

Oher is not doing THAT well against Allen by the way. And talk of rookie of year is stupid this early... especially when said with such conviction and certainty.

I wouldn't get too down on Stanton for his poor showing. Henne had a bad game when he came in off the bench, once he got a full week of snaps with the 1st team offense he has looked good.

Well this isn't shocking, the Lions have no depth. Culpepper games are totally useless for the Lions they should just cut the guy. I thought they were looking better, but today was just a total uninspired effort.
One thing that really does annoy me though, is their special teams, it doesn't take a boat load of talent to be good in that area. I think coaching can make a big difference in that area, why do the Lions keep on sticking with Stan Kwan, they need to make a statement and at least fire him.

Yeah, I caught that as well. The Ravens have a good offense this year though I can't say I've focused much on Oher's play; that being said, he was not anything special today against Jared Allen. He was dominated by an experienced pass rusher.
That first pick wasn't Stanton's fault but will bring down his QB rating. He was definitely better than Culpepper.

At half time Oher had two false start penalties. I believe he picked up at least one more in the second half as well.
Allen had a handful of hurries on Flacco including a play that went to replay to determine if it was a forced fumble or merely an incompletion.

Speaking of depth, there aren't many teams that would do well missing as many players as the Lions are missing right now. Very few teams would win, if at all. The point is the Lions have a history of injuries every year, and they need to continue working at getting bigger and more physical. I believe they get injured for a reason... they are too often the hittee and not the hitter.
