I don't think this is a good idea. MVP and cy young verlander was on the cover, and then he failed to win either award the next year.

I haven't played a 2k baseball game in a few years but there are plenty of head 2 head reviews you can look up if you're interested. The one area I think most people agree 2K had the edge on is in the commentary. The Show's play-by-play is pretty bad. I generally like Max Vasgersian, but his contribution is really mailed in - and he's the best of the 3 guys they have doing commentary.
Outside of that, the controls, the animation, the level of detail, the graphics, the physics, and the different game modes are a big strength for The Show. If you have a PS3 and are jonesing for a new baseball game this year, the Show is the only console option. If you've played it before I wouldn't expect a lot of changes - there's been some physics, animation, stadium, and gameplay tweaks over the last few years, but the core of the game is very similar. If you haven't played it before, I think it won't take you a long time to determine what it is about the Show the people love and why the 2K series has been mocked for years. It really isn't a fanboy thing - many people who are hard on the 2k MLB series have great things to say about 2k's NBA games and many more yearn for more competition in the genre. Now that 2K lost their exclusivity deal we'll hopefully see EA and other developers (SEGA!) try to reclaim their former MLB gaming glory.

Yeah, MVP '04 was a perfect baseball game.
Cabrera with almost twice as many votes as anyone else, except McCutchen is still ahead. He's gotta be mostly getting local votes. I'd expect Miggy to surpass him in the next day or two.Facebook

I know it doesn't mean anything really, but it would be kinda lame for a dude to win a Triple Crown and MVP and not even be able to grace the video game covers lol.
Someone needs to post this up somewhere than Venezuelans can see it. They'll rock the vote like you wouldn't believe lolLast edited by TStar; 01-08-2013 at 02:21 PM.

I really really wish The Show was on XBox 360. 2k series sucks and even that is gone now. No MLB game on XBox at all this year.
2013 AAT: Justin Verlander - 2011 AL MVP and Cy Young Winner
2012 AAL: Joique Bell;
Record While I'm In Attendance (Career) Tigers: 7-1, Whitecaps: 15-5, GVSU Football: 58-5
-
I still can't believe EA didn't make a baseball game. They have no competition right now, at least not on the 360. Dumb move on their part.

Detroit has a huge fanbase and a very active internet community, and the decided they didn't want to help. That's why he's losing. I know the cover of a video game doesn't matter to most people but it's pretty pathetic that Pittsburg was able to acquire so many more votes. Not a big deal really but it wouldn't have taken much effort to get this for Cabrera.

Yoda, there is still time to organize something on twitter if you think it's important. Cutch is winning the vote because John Fuller is working the social media for him the same way he used to do it for Granderson.

I told Fuller if gets Ric Flair to encourage a Clutch vote then I'll vote for Clutch. That's my price....
I finally joined the 2st century and got a gaming system, the XBox and watned to get 2k12 only because Verlander's on the cover..
-
Yeah, Fuller is a turd. It's not that big a deal, really, I just thought Cabrera would win pretty easily. I think today is the last day of voting.
