    Default WILK !!!

Hmm, if my former AAT (and former Dirtbag) can step up his game this year - then maybe
Porcello is indeed expendable at this point? I know Rick is a more proven commodity, but
this sounds much better than the "Bonderman's changeup" articles) :-)

I love the headline: "Adam Wilk's Curve straightened out" Is that a good thing?

I don't really buy it, but I'd love it if Wilk could be a solid contributor. With a better out pitch, he could be a solid long reliever at the least. He can come in and throw strikes and be pretty good against lefties especially I think.

We have a lot of bodies for the left handed relief role(s )behind Coke. Downs,Below,Lobstein,Wilk,Crosby, maybe Smyly. Hopefully someone can nail it down.

Sounds like they would like him to emulate Fister - with the big speed differential off the mediocre fast ball. Of course some feel part of Fister's success with that is tied to how uniquely close to home plate his release point is.

Also a little ironic that the nice pic in the article, which so clearly shows his grip, appears to be of him throwing a change.

I think the Tigers really believe Drew Smyly is their 5th starter, and not just because he is a lefty, but it doesn't hurt. I also think they believe Casey Crosby is going to be a part of this team in 2013 in some capacity. I don't think Adam Wilk is ever going to be more than a guy that fills in when 2 or 3 guys are hurt.

Tigers' Adam Wilk shipped to Korea | Detroit Tigers | Detroit Free Press | freep.com

Gotta wonder if this is a sign the team won't trade Porcello or Smyly unless it's for a king's ransom. Granted Wilk wasn't a great, but it's not like we are flush in SP depth right now and this moves thins it out even more.....

Is this something that Wilk would of had to agree to first? Or is he now forced against his will to go to Korea??
