How does the guy at the MLB studios not win it?
He'd probably smash the studio with a bat if he doesn't win.

I didn't think I would be this nervous over an award, but I am.

I want Miggy to win obviously but what kind of motivation would that be for next year if Justin just misses the Cy Young and Miggy just misses MVP.

Schilling is a douche.
"Thirty for me, that's yesterday," Valverde said. "It doesn't matter how many saves I have right now. The goal right now is the Tigers in first place, try to win every day, go to the playoffs and win everything."
-
Congrats Miggy!! Prince has to win next year.

Let Trout repeat what he did this year over 150+ games next year and he will get the MVP.

John Lowe of the Free Press had Jim Johnson 3rd.lol Atleast he had Cabrera and Trout 1-2 so it's not like it would've had any impact on the voting regardless but still, wtf was he thinking?

keithlaw @keithlaw
This is quite bizarre. Unquestionably a top ten player in the league. RT @mattymaclellan: @keithlaw not a single vote for austin jackson?2013 AAT-Mr Ilitch 2012 AAL-Willie Young 2012 AAT-Dixon Machado 2011 AAL-Tom "Killer" Kowalski 2011 AAT-Heather Nabozny 2010 AAT-Phil Coke 2008 & 2007 AAT-Sergio Collado 2007 AT-AAT-Alan Trammell 1972 AAT-Duke Sims

I do agree Yoda but Miggy was better at 3rd than alot of people thought he would be. Im talking about what ever That WAR thing means. I dont understand that. From what i gather its what wins u would get above a fictional player. If thats true you can make up anything you want. If trout would have been out for sometime Im sure that Hunter would have replaced him. Thats not much loss defensively> Had Cabrera been out I think Kelly would have been his replacement and I dont think I need to say more.

Amazing, IMO, that it wasn't even that close. Miggy 22 of 28 1st place votes.
I was pretty nervous, there's no doubt Trout had a great season and I tip my hat to him.
But winning the Triple Cown and having your team make the playoffs probably both made the difference.
Miggy's 4 years in Detroit?
Lead the league in homers.
Lead the league in RBI
Lead the league in batting average.
And finally, in year 4, he ran the table with his Triple Crown.
I'm all for modern stats, but winning a Triple Crown is such a rare feat, it would get my vote.
Defense and baserunning? Yes, Trout had the advantage. Huge advantage.
Thank You Miggy for keeping the MVP in the D!2013 AAT: Brennan Smith
2012 AAT: Brennan Smith
2010 AAT: Armando Galarraga

Miggy may just be coming into his prime. The numbers he put up this season may be even better next season.
As for WAR? Who had more home runs? Who had more RBI? Who had a better BA?
Or doesn't all of that matter? If not, it seems like a silly made-up stat to me.
MVP to the player who changed positions to make his team better. MVP to the player who played on a really messed up ankle for 50 games or so.
MVP to a player who was the first Triple Crown winner in 45 years!2013 AAT: Brennan Smith
2012 AAT: Brennan Smith
2010 AAT: Armando Galarraga

Of course they matter in war. Everything matters in war, including defense, stolen bases, grounded into double plays. Everything. These should all be factored into a players value, I'm not sure why people don't get this. To me it came down to Miggy making the playoffs and trout not making it.

Trout was the FIRST and ONLY player to hit 30HRs while leading the league in steals and runs. What makes that any less impressive than winning the Triple Crown? Because people nearly a century ago thought those 3 stats were most important? I mean don't get me wrong, I love Miggy but to vote for him just because he did something that hasn't been done in 45 years is extremely flawed because Trout did things that nobody in the history of the game have done.

I dont know the Angels roster like I do the Tigers but If its a fictional player that is being used in the formula then You can come up with any kind of numbers you want. I think this WAR is the dumbest stat I have ever heard of. I do watch the games and From what I can see with my eyes is that Cabrera Is the best player in the game.
-
You can't call something dumb that you clearly don't understand. That's like me saying "I don't understand quantum physics but it's stupid!!"
It isn't just a made up, fictional set of numbers that varies from person to person.
Cool, so you watched all of Trout's games too?I do watch the games and From what I can see with my eyes is that Cabrera Is the best player in the game.Facebook
