Cabrera looks slightly bemused. I would too.

It's nice to see Cabrera get some recognition, but that's a strange looking crown. The look on his face says: "WTF am I going to do with this?"

"They can use both (old- and new-school statistics)," Cabrera said. "In 2012, we've got to take advantage of all that.

Either Selig is trying to fit in with today's kid or he has some serious bedhead going on.
The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves. - George Washington August 26, 1776.

He wears a stocking cap 96% of the time and just took it off for the photo.

This may not be a popular opinion, but I've come to the conclusion that I want Miguel Cabrera to beat Mile Trout for MVP 51-49. That way, Cabrera gets the hardware based on the strong tradition of his accomplishment, while Trout gets good recognition for his superior win-producing season. I would consider that a win-win for both of them.

Why would that not be a popular opinion? I think everyone here wants him to get it.

I think the part about it being a close vote is what he meant. I don't really think most Tigers fans care how close the vote is as long as Cabrera wins. Personally, I think Trout deserves it, but Cabrera is awesome and he's a Tiger so I'll be happy either way.

Nah. I'm sure the west coast guys will go with Trout. Though I do think Cabrera will win by a wide margin.
My neighbor thinks I'm following or even stalking her, she is worried that I may be obsessed with her and any time she hears a noise in her house she is...purified? Oh, wait: petrified. Sorry, it's not easy reading a diary through binoculars from a tree.

I'd bet you any amount of money you name, but that would be a sucker's bet, because Pat Caputo said back in early October than he'd already voted for Trout. Unless he was fibbing when he said so on his show.

It absolutely will not be unanimous. I think it'll be fairly close, as in 60-40.

I'm surprised. Caputo usually takes the traditional route.

I thought the voters aren't allowed to reveal who they voted for before the results are announced? Also, when are the awards scheduled to be given?

I believe it's rookie of the year today, manager of the year tomorrow, CY on Wednesday and MVP Thursday.

I'm only reporting what I heard Caputo say.

    MVP is awarded this Thursday.
