I'm going to the 22nd and 23rd games at COPA and staying at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, would it be better to walk to the Games from there or take the people mover to a closer area?

Also what are some of the suggested restaurants right around there?

If anyone else is going those days and wants to meet up i'll be in Section 137 close to the Dugout on the 22nd, and then Club Seats 332 on the 23rd.

Hoping for a Verlander start one of the games, looking like on keeping a 5 man Rotation would put him the 23rd. Even with the two off days between now and then.

We always park around Greektown and hoof it from there. There are about 5-6 restaurants in Greektown that are all fairly good.

Hoofing it TO the game may not be a bad idea,..I am not sure about you...,but for me hoofing it after the game sucks. There are plenty of shuttles that will drop you off closer to your hotel and you can hoof it back from there after.

The last few times I've been to Detroit I have stayed at the Renaissance Center and have walked to and from the game, its not that far.

I will be there on the 23rd. Sitting on the 3rd base foul line, by the foul pole. Hopefully JV will be pitching. I finally got to see Fister in person last night. It always seems that Scherzer or Porcello pitch the games I go to.

Yep that will be awesome. I was thinking about how it would feel to be in the crowd for a Perfect Game while watching Felix yesterday, that would be stressful for everyone in the stands waiting on every pitch.

I think the Jays should always be in Detroit for July 1st-July 4th (if the days match up correctly) for Canada and Independence Day.

2011 it was a game Verlander took a no-hitter into the 8th.

We were really popular for a while.
