Who knows? Maybe twenty years from now, you'll say the same about the Aztec.

EDIT: Aztec, according to owner surveys, was a pretty good car, looks notwithstanding (I guess the same with Studebaker).

That Aztec was ahead of it's time but now you look at the smaller crossovers and you can see where the Aztec comes in. It was fine as a concept car but I'm wondering if some bigwig greenlighted it and nobody had the balls to tell him "Well, actually it's not meant for production.... it's just a concept."

I kept trying to sign in through tapatalk last night, but could not respond to any posts for some reason...

I was going to 'lol' at BeantownMarty's comment about 'fire somebody' I thought it was funny. I also wanted to say that I am glad JV got his bad game that would have knocked him out before the 6th inning out of the way in a game that basically means nothing to us.

I also reserve a small amount of blame for Ol' Katey.

He says he intended to put on a show for the fans. From him, they expect to see heat, so he tried for the 100 mph pitch. In retrospect, he says, bad choice; better to have worked the corners. Command of the high heat is difficult, something he's more likely to succeed with later in games (as we all know).

I hope he doesn't become overly reliant on that heat for the remainder of the season. Once they've seen a few high-velocity pitches, big league hitters can sit on the pitch like they would any other fastball. Unless he can mix it in comfortably with off-speed stuff -- difficult to do with command, I'd think, but then we are talking Verlander here -- he's likely to get burned more often than not.

Yeah, from my perspective it looked like he was simply rearing back trying to blow fastballs by the guys. Trying to throw as hard as he can ("I will throw 107.") mixed with just starting the game, mixed with nerves at starting and trying to prove something, mixed with his mind possibly on what he was going to do with that hot gf later that night...etc etc.

I am not at all concerned about him and think it is a huge leap to think this is the start of a collapse (noone on here, from what I know, is saying this, but I am hearing it on the radio.)
