The (official) let's meet up at the bar to watch the Tigers thread

So we've had a MTS night at Comerica a couple of years ago, and it was pretty fun, and last year that night never got off of the ground, so I am wondering if meeting up at a local watering hole would generate more interest.

So I am curious to know if posters would be interested in meeting at a bar to have a drink, take in the Tigers, and just have a good time in general.

I'm thinking we can have one at various locales (eastside, westside, downriver, etc.). Let me know your thoughts.

I'm thinking Meatheads Video Poker Bar in Vegas would be good. I haven't been there but a quick search turned it up as a Detroit sports bar in Vegas. First rounds on me.

I'd love to have one in Boston (lookin' at you, kdog & LouSlug, plus anyone from the Chelmsford contingent if they would want to hang, too). For instance, my local watering hole (Donohue's in Watertown) would put the Tigers game on for us any time.

If I didn't feel so socially awkward around people I've never met I'd probably be more comfortable with this :P
I'll be taking my father to see the game next Wednesday, we'll be hitting up Texas De Brazil before the game. Pigging out and having a few drinks.

I catch a game here in Kzoo at a few different places from time to time (Taphouse, Old Chicago, Waldos, Wings Etc.). Usually with the girlfriend or the old man and my friend/roommate.

I think I'd rather see if we can get a block tickets in the same spot and make it a day at the ballpark rather than a day in a bar. Doesn't have to be great seats; cheap seats would be fine.

Tried that last year and had very limited interest. I can throw that out there again if others are interested.
