I really wish they had put Jackson (and Valverde) on the DL sooner. Saving a few days wasn't worth playing so long with zero bench.

So that means that we still have Worth up since AJax went on the DL, correct?

It was a poor question. What I really meant was, has Worth had any recent reps at SS? If Peralta isn't going to hit, do the Tigers shift and at least try to get someone with a glove there? At one point, Worth was a pretty slick fielder there.
EDIT: One of the reasons that this occurred to me is that having a good defensive SS would make Miguel look a lot better at 3B.Last edited by theroundsquare; 05-25-2012 at 10:25 AM.

Peralta is pretty much doing what could reasonably be expected. His obp is 340ish. His defense is adequate. He on pace to put up a 1.5-2 war year.
Peralta is not the problem.Ajax is only the third most valuable tiger.

I agree he's far from the biggest problem, but a 92 OPS+ with very poor defense is still disappointing after last year

he's not too from his career norms, but his power is a little off.

"They can use both (old- and new-school statistics)," Cabrera said. "In 2012, we've got to take advantage of all that.
