    Question Tom Selleck Baseball card?

    Hey folks...

I'm looking for some info on a Baseball Card.

There exists, somewhere out there, a Baseball Card ot Tom Selleck in a Tigers uniform. It's was either promo thing done with the movie Mr. Baseball or is was from some Spring Training or Fantasy Camp.

I'm hoping to eventually get me hands on one, but I doubt there are too many people selling them. But for now, I'd be happy if anyone has any information such as:
    • Who published the card
    • When it was made
    • Any details on the front and/or back
    • A picture of the card

Anyone know as of the this stuff or have scaned picture of the card?

Check eBay. I see the card listed there often with scans. I think it is a Fleer card and the picture was taken during the Spring of 1991. Selleck was in camp with the Tigers preparing for his movie Mr. Baseball.

Thanks for reminding me MWG. Come to think of it, the studio came out with some promo cards for that movie. I wish I'd have picked some up, I had access because at that time I was doing in-house movie promotions at Star. Turned out we didn't get that movie, I ended up doing a promo with the Tigers (travelling museum at all theatres) the following spring for "The Babe".

There are actually two cards with Tom Selleck one is real and one is a fake.
The real card was from the 1991 Upper Deck series. The card number is SP4 and it is from the movie Mr. Baseball. The card has Tom Selleck and Frank Thomas on the front. (I have the card autographed by Selleck and Thomas).

The second card was a reproduction (fake) made to look like the 1968 Topps series. The photo was taken during spring training. I might be able to find one for you. me if you are interested you can PM me.

BTW the upper deck card has selleck in a Yankees uniform because in the movie he started out as a Yankee. At the end of the Movie he became a Tigers Coach.
