If you're going to say you will play the kids this season then do it! Don't play Halter and Paquette everyday. They don't have any trade value and they never will. Stop kidding yourself.

We're supposed to play the kids to see who will stick with the team. Put them in the lineup as much as possible and protect them in the lineup. Don't bat Higgy, Yound and Palmer 3,4,5. Mix in Pena, Munson and whoever between them so they have half a chance to see some decent pitches.

A strength on this team could be defense. Use it! Why play Paquette in the outfield and Halter at short. They can't hit anyway! Why not go with defense then and see if Infante/Santiago will hit.

If you're going to play Higgy in center, that's fine. Consider bringing up a real corner outfielder to play rightfield though. Monroe or Ross for example.
