I did too, until I saw that. I figured what the heck, I really don't care who gets in for the NL.

30 more votes for Inge brings my grand total to 60.
NL I think I voted Sandoval 54 times and Reynolds 6 times.

True, but if he's sitting at home during the All-Star Game, there won't be that opportunity. Being there gives him a couple opportunites(practice + game) to aggravate the knee that wouldn't be there. If he goes, I'll be happy for him, but I'll hold my breath, just as I do for any Tiger that plays in the game.

Keep voting!!! I've voted over 2000 times for the guy. It takes like 15 minutes to get 100 done. I've watched the Tiges the last two games on TV and just have been clicking away

I've voted for a while today too. Any idea where one could get the bright orange Vote Inge t-shirt?

I don't even like Inge, but I've voted ~700 times now for him (and Pablo Sandoval)...

I don't think he's that great, but I do feel he has done enough to deserve being the 2nd best 3B in the AL at this point in time, and I also feel that this could very well be his only possible chance to make the game, so I'm all for voting for him.

OK, so the same obsessive-ness that causes me to play pyramid for hours on end, and that once caused me to spend $11 in one hour on the game Asteroids has been used to vote for Inge for the past few days. I sure hope it helps.

I wouldn't be surprised if I got in well over 1000 votes.

Hopefully someday before I die I can manage to get a life.

Because I think he's a having a fluke first half (he'll have a bad second half...or a "typical" second half for him), commits stupid errors all the time, hurts more than he helps with his "range" in the field, strikes out wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much, etc...

But like I said, the All-Star game is based on what they have done in the first half of THIS season, so I'm not holding any of that against him, therefore I have been voting for him.

We had mlb.com CEO Bob Bowman (who is a Michigan native) on the show today and he said they will probably end up with 50 million votes in this year's last man race.

WOW!

So, is there any real way to know how many times you've voted? I've got to me up to a couple hundred at this point (plus I had my 7 and 8 year olds voting for a while).

Nevermind.. I figured it out. If I look at my history and see the number of times I visited
htp://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2009/fv/success.html that would be the number of votes. I'm up to 350.

I have a bet with my wife that if Inge makes it, I finally get to get the Inge jersey I've been wanting for a while. See this thread from two years ago Which jersey to buy?

That doesn't work for me. I have google chrome and it only shows the link once no matter how many times I vote. If I have to quesstimate it would probably be close to 300 now

Its on now. Got to get my boy in the big game.

It will give him a big head sure as if he needs a bigger head.
And yes he is slightly injured but I think the confidence will really help him.

Even though I am a sox fan I have voted for Inge. Anyone who has watched Inge play defense should want him in the all star game. He is defiantely my favorite (or maybe my least hated ) Tiger. Good luck in getting him in the game.

If you have firefox, go to history, show all history. In the history window, click views, show columns, and make sure "visit count" is checked. Then look for how many times you visited htp://mlb.com/.../fv/success.html

In IE (Version 8 - although I think it would be same in at least version 7) : open the history toolbar (Shft-Ctrl-H). Look for above mentioned site - it may just show the name, look for the one with "success". Right click on it and view properties and look for 'times visited'

I hope this isn't too geeky of me - oh well (and I'm sure someone will post corrections :) )

I would agree with this is everyone else out there did the same thing. But we all know that this isn't the case. People the nation and the world over vote based on fanship, not on whether a player deserves it or not. For every one baseball fan who goes out there and tried to vote according to who he really believes is the most deserving, there are 10-20 who are vote because the person is on the team they like, or is good looking, or is from the nation they are from, or just cause the name sounds cool.

If you can stop everyone from doing that, then I'll only vote for who I feel is the most deserving of NL player.

BTW, I've found that periodically the widget seems to mess up and no longer checks if I've entered the correct code, or even any code, but still says that my votes have been cast. My voting rate and just soared substantially.

No love for Kemp? I've been mixing it up too. At first, the majority of my votes went to Sandoval but I gotta stay true to the Bran-Torino alliance.

Also I don't want to make it obvious we are voting Bran-torino.... that will cheapen Inge's win. They will say we cheated using Philly fans. So I am trying to mislead them by voting for some other guys. Really I want the worst NL players so the AL can win and get homefield advantage in the world series. I guess I need to get Guzman some more votes then : )
