In light of all this, I thought I'd look up whether anyone nailed it last year. According to the "MTS Predictions Converstion Thread," posted 3-28-08:

Mean: 96.5
Median: 97
Max: 117
Min: 83

Updated through post 114 (Shelton)
So, no.

But we've all learned a lot since then.

I realize that this submission is too late to count for winning the prize, but its not too late for me to get the ego boost that would come with winning, so I'll post anyway:

84 wins

Home wins - 44
Home Run Champion - Cabrera
Saves - Perry
Stolen Bases - Josh Anderson

The winners of this years contest are the following:

Grand Prize Winner: norm25
With a submission time of 04-03-2009, 11:36 AM

Runner-Up Prize Winner: Walewander
With a submission time of 04-03-2009, 12:07 PM

Unlike last year where we had no winner (no one picked the Tigers to lose as much as they did), we had multiple people predict (guess) that the Tigers would win 86 games. After applying all the tie-breakers, we still had three people tied. I then used their submission time to select the grand prize and runner-up.

Congrats to both of you!
