I am accepting bribes in various formats from expansion owners to influence which league they will be in.

I don't know which league has who, or who has the best team so I will test my luck. Also, my new league presser is up on the TTWB forum. Keep in mind when you read it the power of boredom at work. Oh, and those jersey mockups were done in MSPAINT.

Wow....your MSPaint skills are mad dog. Impressive work Shinma - I can't wait to get the season started and see what kind of damage you'll cause. : )

So we added six teams then? I wonder who else joined up from this forum
besides Cas and Shinma? PS I propose three 6-team divisions, and whoever draws the short straw has to be in a 2-team division with Jim .....

Download that link and open it with OOTP. Maybe rename or move your corrupted file first.

Possibly extracted the stuff incorrectly? I know that getting that figured out when we first switched over to 8 was a bit of a pain for me.

Just curious if anyone is playing OOTP X? Any leagues out there? I'm hooked. I need to get into this so that I can stay out of the pubs and begin to look reasonable again.

Oh snap.

As for me, do you know how to recover my OOTP license from a computer that no longer exists? Can I send an email for it? I have a new laptop and looking to get back in action.

I believe you can send an email to OOTP and they will direct you to the eLicense folks who handle the licensing of the game.

I've been considering asking the league if it would be interested in migrating to the latest version of the game (OOTPX, released over a month ago). Cost is the biggest prohibitant in my view, as the game is $40 and in this economy that is not chump change.

It is on sale for $29.99 through the All-Star week (through July 15) - FYI.

Me and a buddy are playing a league where we just control 1 team each and play seperately. OOTPX is awesome and worth every penny of $40. I've never been into playing fictional leagues though, much prefer to start with real guys and see where prospects and todays stars "end up"

As someone who loved and played UBO/ESPN then Cal Ripkens's UBO does this have something to offer as 'gameplay'?

OOTP is a SIM based game, complete with contracts, minors, players gettign better or worse, injuries, the whole 9 yards. The gameplay itself is nothing like a normal baseball video game, it's more like playing an ESPN "Gamecast" But it is a lot of fun to try and figure out a way to trade Magglio

Couldn't Maggs be simply traded and damn the consequences?

It's a strategy thing, then...but baseball! I should consider giving it a try

I'm doing the same. To get a feel of things, I started off with W. Michigan. I realize I'm missing out on a lot by not taking control of a big-league squad, but this is still fun and quite addicting. I'll figure out how leagues work playing against other human-controlled teams one day.

Every gm in the game will refuse a trade on the basis of "I refuse to trade for overpaid veterans"

Yeah, we like too much control for a league full of humans. We contracted 6 teams at random and then let the free agen frenzy begin. I'm tempted to control a minor league team one of these days, but they all seem to have the same crappy ratings when you get lower than AA

Hmmm, I wonder if I could hack Euphdude's server and contract his team? I'm tired of getting crushed by him!

I still laugh when I see how good the Steamers are now. Especially when you realize they were named because of how bad they were.

I'm studying the OOTP forums before I commit to 30 or 40 bucks and have yet to determine penalty margin for doing a crappy job the first season...anyone know if Lansing Lugnuts are spoken for?

FYI we have two openings for GM's in this league. Contact Euphdude if you are interested.

We will be using OOTP X this coming season (Out of The Ball Baseball).
