Only a few people have this type of polarized feel to them. Inge is clearly one of them. For example, I can see that sort of expression I mentioned above on the face of that guy at work last week when I said "I expect Brandon to be Brandon. Check his career numbers and that's what he'll probably be. Good glove, probably not a very good bat." And then he fought tooth and nails to tell me why my view of his career was entirely wrong - like he wanted to convert me or something.

What wisdom..except those routine plays at important times..

Inge is a very good all around defensive player, but their really isn't any excuse for the dumb mental errors he makes

Plays like that are why Inge will NEVER win a gold glove.

It's been a secret for years. Some have probably suspected the truth. So now, finally, the truth can now be revealed. The poster known as Jake is actually none other than Brandon Inge. He sure had y'all fooled, didn't he?

Just to be sure, this is the same guy who says Verlander isn't good, right? Right? God help us.

Correct. I think somewhere Jake said that JV wasn't elite. Jake isn't always wrong, but with Inge and JV, he sure was. I liked Inge, too, until he exposed himself as a narcissistic little snit. Now I just wish someone would sew shut his lips.

How is the next Greg Maddux doing these days? That annual update thread hasn't actually been updated in awhile so I lost track of his progress.

Interestingly, since this thread was last updated in 2009, Inge has been bested in virtually every standard and advanced statistic for 3B fielding (with a pretty similar number of games/innings played at 3B) by none other than...Placido Polanco.

Verlander isn't good..........he's just lucky a lot. Look at what Cleveland did to him - THAT is the real Verlander, not the guy you see the other 9 starts.
