Some of the better items I've got done in my first two days in Florida:

The cereal box is about the last thing I'd want signed by Verlander, but since my binder came up missing, it's all I had (didn't want another side pannel ball).

Marty, really a downer on your binder. Hope the overall trip makes up for it. Probably miss you this time as wife is not quite ready to challenge the fan area without wheels. We hope to pick those up tomorrow.

It had all of them and then some. The guy that found it got 4/4 Casey Crosby cards done, and the guy that brought it to me got Jhonny Peralta 3/3 for me before I got there this morning.

That's awesome! It sounds like your binder sure landed in the right hands, not only to return it but to get some of your cards signed for you. Those guys scored some good karma points.

Since they are getting cards signed for you, maybe you should lose it again!

A friend of mine is a spring training season ticket holder for the St. Louis Cardinals in Jupiter, FL. Every year the Cards have an autograph day and the entire team participates. The Cards really did it right this year. They limited the signing to season ticket holders only, which meant there were about 2500 fans, instead of about triple that number last year. That doesn't mean that the average fan was shut out. Season ticket holders received a ticket for every season ticket they own. Many were on ebay for between $100-$200.
Fans entered based on the number on your ticket; the earlier that you paid for your season ticket package, the lower the number you received - a nice marketing tool. There were three stations set up on the infield, with between 22-25 players at each station. Fans were given the lineup at each station ahead of time, so you could prioritize where to go first. The team stars were separated evenly among the stations. The players signed for 90 minutes, which gave you time to get through two stations, not enough for three.
My friend sent his wife to one station and he hit the other two, and walked away with autos from the entire 40 man roster, the entire coaching staff, and a bunch of high potential minor leaguers. There were no restrictions as to what the player would sign, but only one auto per person, per player. I got the items below.
I know the Tigers haven't attempted anything like this since 2007, but they need to reconsider. It was a great day for the fans and EXTREMELY well organized. There was no pushing, screaming, or upset fans. Everything was clearly communicated ahead of time. I understand the Marlins are having the same event today - the Cards and the Marlins share the same spring training park.
    Here is what I got:

I'll be around till atleast the 11th, so just email me when you're gonna be around. Everything I got was before games started. Since games started, my results dropped off drastically. And I hate to tell you, but I'd lose any hopes of getting Verlander. He doesnt seem to have any interest in signing at all.

    IP successes from today:

    Ramon Santiago 1/1 (ball)
    Phil Coke 1/1
    Brendan Boesch 1/1 (photo)

Worst day ever. They wouldn't let us to the back fields or into the stadium today. Complete waste of a day. Got a wave from Verlander and ignored by Cabrera.

Wow, this is not good. Did they give any reason for not allowing access to practice?

They said it was because of the game with WMU, but they didn't do anything to get ready for it. It was just brutal and a complete waste of a day. I'm debating on even going tomorrow. Need to get Fielder, but it's just so hard now that games have started.

Last day of spring training. Got most of the stuff done that I wanted, would be nice to have access to minor leaguers though. Also got Prince Fielder's very first broken bat with the Tigers. Pictures to come once I get back to Michigan.

Welp, back in MI now: During my time there, only tried for the Tigers 3 times, but was able to get
    Prince
    Boesch
    Valverde
    Inge
    Brookens
    Worth
    Peralta

Definitely going to try to go earlier next year. Had a good time though for sure.

Very quick turnaround from a great guy. Did he use two different spellings on your son's name?

We have several low key guys here as you can see from their posts who have a good reputation with the players. I'm sure they would guide you for part of a day. Still, you did good.

No, they're the same. The one on the left, it appears maybe he left out the 2nd "T" at first, and then added it, so it does look a little different.
