Round 2

Any indication yet when they'll start round 2? I know there are still variables, but I can't remember if they wait for all round 1s to finish before they start round 2, or just play on as the teams are set.

I'm curious, because I bought a pair of tickets to the first home game of round 2. I'm very excited, as this is my first ever playoff game for ANY sport, but I work in a hospital and am required to be on-call at least one night a week, so the sooner I can make arrangements the better!

This is my first year paying much attention to hockey but since they are reseeded after the first round I would say they wait until after all the first rounds are completed

Stevie-y, I'm guessing the Wings' first home game will be a week from Tuesday or Wednesday.
The Western matchups can be set as early as Monday, as late as Wednesday. So probably something like a Friday-Sunday start in San Jose before heading to Detroit.

Drew Miller is my guess, might see them rotating Miller/Eaves/Draper like they did in regular season

Bertuzzi/Zetterberg/Cleary
Hudler/Filppula/Abdelkader
Draper/Helm/Eaves

Of course Babcock will probably juggle it a little bit, I bet the first line and the fourth line look like that. 2nd/3rd could be changed around

Miller is probably the odd man out since the Eaves/Helm/Draper line was so very good in round 1.

Well, the other series are all done and Chicago will beat Vancouver on Tuesday so it looks like the Detroit-Nashville series will begin Thursday......

A lot of assumptions there

1. Vancouver playing at home, and its hard to beat a team 4 times in a row. Dont think Chicago is a lock to win

2. All the other series are not over, San Jose - LA is still going on

Detroit could still play San Jose, Nashville or Chicago

Vancouver stations are reporting the same thing this blog post does. That Vancouver-Nashville almost certainly is Thursday-Saturday and that Detroit-San Jose is almost certainly Friday-Sunday for Games 1 and 2.

Vancouver has injuries and gets very little rest against a rested Nashville team.
San Jose gets a little more rest, but Detroit may get back all their injured players and has the most rest of all the remaining teams. Too much rest? We'll see, but it should be exciting!
