any fantasy basketball fans?
hello everyone. I'm reaching beyond my circle of friends on this one because sadly, I don't have enough friends who like NBA.
I'm here to pimp out an inaugural league that I'm starting in basketball. It's a Dynasty League which is as close as you can get to being a real life general manager. I run one in both football and baseball so we've focused our attention on basketball, because, lets admit it, we've all lose our attention for basketball and we need a league to make us watch again.
We are looking for about 14 guys, 12 will work (we'll do an expansion draft years later if needed). We only need 2 more but the more, the merrier. We have a roster of 12 guys. After year one, we will keep 5 players (your main 5 - pg-sg-sf-pf-c). Everyone else goes back in the pot and we do a free agency for our second set of 5 players. After free agency, which will be run like a auction draft, we will have a regular, 2 round draft where only rookies and guys who didn't get signed in free agency will be available.
The beauty also about my leagues is that they are WEEEKLY, not daily which my league members love. Who the heck wants to get on the computer everyday to see if Lindsay friggin Hunter is playing or not? You put your starting crew (5 starters and 3 flex) out on Monday and they play til Sunday. Most points wins. None of that daily, streaming for players crap that favors guys who have no life, no girlfriend, no job, no baby, no internet. or guys that just loving working the system of daily leagues......ect.
The other beauty about these leagues is that you can trade draft picks for 4 years in advance (Yes, that was me that offered you my 2015 first round pick for Lindsay Hunter). You also will have control of your team YEAR ROUND. Bored in July? No problem, log on to the site and send some bull crap trade to one of the league morons (unless it's you) and try getting Darko Milic for a 2nd rounder. We also have what baseball calls "winter meetings." Can't find a trade partner or are you waiting on some idiot to look at you proposal? Well, our meetings involve all league members in a chat room and that's where magic happens, and quickly too. We also have a facebook group page, where you can do some jibber jabbers at other league members, especially if they are really sucking it up.
Let me know if you are interested. These leagues fill up quick, and usually have a waiting list after a few years of being in business. michiganct@gmail.com if you are interested in $ and other rules. I obviously want to stick with people in the state of MIchigan. (because there is always the chance of meeting up)
