    Default Stefan Logan injury

Thought this injury was worthy of its own thread. Given the question marks at running back.

READ MORE: Stefan Logan (WR - DET), Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions running back Stefan Logan left Friday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with an ankle injury after attempting to take a hand-off from quarterback Matt Stafford.

Stafford turned, appearing to attempt a hand-off to Logan, but Logan started to collapse before Stafford reached him, holding his leg. He and Stafford collided before the Ravens piled on both players. Logan stayed down, but eventually limped off the field under his own power.

Lions staff looked at him on the sideline, then got the cart and drove Logan back to the locker room. The team's official Twitter feed said it is an ankle injury.

Logan had one carry for two yards at the time of his injury. He'd returned one kick for 18 yards and one punt for seven yards. The Lions lead Baltimore 14-9 in the second quarter.

The only thing it hurts is our return game. He wasn't going to get substantial reps as a RB.

I don't think a return specialist is worthy of a roster spot anyway. Touchback percentage was up 30 percent last year due to the rule change, and we have other players on the roster capable of returning punts.

I agree 100%. The NFL has made kick offs a non factor almost.

The only think that Logan did help with was the occasional end around, but that didn't happen that often... I don't think he was that great as a return man last year. Don't get me wrong, all things considered I'd prefer he be fine, but this isn't as big a deal as a number of other players.

Ideally your correct. But with the top 2 rbs out he was pretty high on the depth chart. Giving smith a lot of carries is asking for trouble. The other options are fumble prone Williams, bell, and a rookie.

FYI x rays came back negative. But team doctors stated it did not look good. According to free press.
