Default Vote Calvin Johnson for cover of Madden '13.

Just think it would be kinda cool with Verlander on the cover of the MLB game, we need a Lion on the cover of the NFL game.

Madden '13 Cover: Vote for EA Sports' Madden NFL 2013 Cover Athlete - SportsNation - ESPN

(On a completely unrelated side note: Anyone wonder if the TB manager ends up being a really big name if they don't try to purchase his name rights for the MLB game? Then they'd have Madden for NFL and Maddon for MLB.)

Considering the curse that still lives on, I'd rather not have Calvin on the cover. I'd like to see him get to the finals and then lose. Haha.

The last time a Lion was on the cover, he walked away on the eve of training camp. I dont want to relive that.

All comes down to Calvin vs. Cam...

Madden '13 Cover: Vote for EA Sports' Madden NFL 2013 Cover Athlete - SportsNation - ESPN

Barry Sanders says we should vote for Calvin.
Calvin says we should vote for Calvin.

There were doing a bit on ESPN96.1 yesterday on the way home. There were two comments made re: the curse.

First, supposedly the curse started with a Lion. And now a Lion can end it.

Second, curses only apply to humans. Calvin ain't human.

Is the Madden Curse real? Let's look at the history

The last receiver to be on the cover, Larry Fitzgerald collecting over 1,000 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.

I suppose for Calvin that's a down year.

If Stafford and CJ play every game of the season, that would be considered a down year for CJ.
