Not sure if this is any consolation, but...
None of the officials from the Thanksgiving Day crew received a postseason assignment. That's the only such crew for which that is true.

Not really a consolation, but it is interesting and it does annoy me...
If you're going to say that your best crews are working the playoffs, then the crew that worked the nationally televised GB-DET game is the worst crew in the league.
Why should the worst crew be working a nationally televised Thanksgiving game? The worst crew should be working the STL-ARZ game or the BUF-IND game that doesn't sell out, not the big time games... There needs to be a chain of command, not just a seemingly random draw.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's just that yours is stupid.

The crews are rated based on every game and every play and the individual officials are based on every game and every play. The differences tend to be razor thin. Maybe that crew went from the upper half to the bottom of the barrel during that game.

The crew from the both Saints games and the last Packers game should never see the field again either.

I think that turned out to not be true. I don't think the Packers and Saints playoff game where the same crew. I know it was originally mentioned that they were, but that wasn't the case.
A few other thoughts:
I think the NFL needs to at least make the head ref from each crew full time. These guys have GOT to know their stuff better.
I would like to see the replay system revamped. I think the booth should be able to buzz in on any play, not just within the final two minutes. I also think coaches should be allowed to challenge in the final two minutes.
I think the language in how review are decided needs to change. Anyone see the review in the Giants/Saints game? Ed nicely, and correctly, explained that with current rules there has to be clear cut visual evidence that the play was wrong. Absent that, you stay with the call on the field. I think the replay should just view the play, then make the decision based on what is seen, regardless of the call on the field.

The NY/San Fran game was officiated pretty poorly IMO...I saw penalty after penalty not being called and it made my blood boil.
Consistency is all I ask for...really it is....if you are going to call 20 penalties on the Lions for doing the exact same things the Niners do and get called for 3 on (example and numbers pulled out of my arse)....that is when I get rage.
I saw it over and over and over in yesterdays game....I was calling them out as I saw them...they would show a replay...sometimes with a mention of one team 'getting away with one' and sometimes not, but you could always see it clear cut everytime.
I didn't see it as much in the Ravens game and FTR I have no idea who the officials were in the Niners game (besides the 80 year old Hercules) and have no idea who the officials were in the Lions games that seemed to have endless whistles.
I want consistency. If it is a foul for Cleveland or Detroit or Houston ...whomever then it should be a foul for GreenBay or New England or Baltimore etc etc.
It should not be based on the officials and how they feel that day and what they are going to call that day....A prime example is the game Burlesson got called for 3 offensive pass interference calls in one game..I see WR doing what he did in that game (exactly) and not being called for it even once.
Whatever...it adds fuel to the fire for those who believe in conspiracy theories and refs getting paid off by someone.
I do not want to believe those things...I turn my eyes when it is talked about because it would ruin the game for me, but the amount of money involved in games that can easily be decided on the blowing of ONE whistle....how can you not have a tinge of doubt?"Yeah You're right man...that is enough."

I am trying to think of a game that can COMPLETELY change the outcome of the game with ONE whistle and with a half hearted explination of the 'rule' that applied.
You can have team x run back a punt to win the game and a whistle can be blown (and most times is expected to be blown) to negate it.
Or a fumble called that was not a fumble in the waning minutes...or pass interference that was not pass interference....I mean there are literally dozens of examples of how a corrupt official can completely change the outcome of a game.
If it is called in the opening drive it should be called on the last drive....and vice versa for every team."Yeah You're right man...that is enough."

Different crews... The NO/DET (Regular Season) crew got the Houston/Cincinnati playoff game. I don't know if the official(s) who called all of the OPI's got the assignment, but the ref did, as did most of his crew.
