What player from the Millen era do you want today?
The 95 thread where we excluded one player and most people could name 4-5 others off the top of their head inspired this in my mind.
The player did not have to be signed by Millen, but should have played from the Lions sometime after Edingers field goal in 2000 up until and the up to the 16th loss in 2008. Current players on the team do not count. If you pick an active player on another team, it would assume they produce at the level of their stint in Detroit.
umm.....Damien Woody at tackle? Robert Porcher? Artoose? Roy Williams? Seems to be pretty slim pickens for a nearly a decades worth of player. I was leaning toward Dre Bly but we have the exact same player in Alphonso Smith.Last edited by darko31; 01-06-2012 at 03:14 PM.

Porcher was drafted in the mid 90's.

What year was it that Westbrook was playing so well and and then ruptured something. That was maybe the last time we've had a really, really good CB. Even in Bly's Pro-Bowl year it was more reputation that got him in than actual performance in my opinion.

Actually, I thought of who I want, and it's actually a good player: Eddie Drummond from 2004. Remember that year when he was a really potent return guy? 4 TDs (2 on punts, 2 on kicks)
He went to the Pro-Bowl that year and was first team all pro. Now of course I want the production, not just the man. Our Special Teams were still a strength of the team then rather than a weakness so I'm sure that if we just plugged in Drummond this year we won't get the same production from him. Who was our ST coach back then again? Maybe it's really him I want.

Shaun Rogers. Suh and Rogers would just be insane. The best players from the Millen era are still on the team with Johnson and Avril.

Agree with Rogers. Yeah, he was out of shape and all that, but the man could play in spurts. If we put him in with our rotating D-Line he would dominate.
