    Default A CJ Question.

Does anyone know if Calvin Johnson even had "Johnson Jr." On the back of his jersey ? Either in college or with Detroit ? If so, details please

I do not recall it with the Lions.

I have no idea why every edition of Madden puts him in the game as Johnson Jr.

In madden he does because they use his official name used on his contact. But I dont think he has done it in real life

I thought it had something to do with the Lions having Bryant Johnson, and making it easier for the player to differentiate the two...but I buy the contract status now. Probably as listed with the union is my guess.

Also, I make my living off EA, and Madden is great. Dangit.

But if its on his contract, on his birth certificate, on the paperwork with the NFLPA, wouldnt the NFL be forced to use Jr? Wasnt that why OchoCinco had to change his name?

Ochocinco chose to change his name, hence the jersey change. I'm sure Calvin had the choice on whether to have the Jr on his jersey or not. The NFL can't force them to put it on the jersey.
