12/24/11. Chargers @ Lions. 4:05pm CBS. Week 16.

Well, I figured to have my laptop woes figured out by now but it hasn't happened yet so we have no graphical GDT this week, sorry. If anyone wants to whip something together and post it you are more than welcome.

This is a huge game for the Lions. A win will be a return to the playoffs, and the true death of Millen-ball.

Can't wait to get up to the D today for this game. I really hope the fans show up today and are loud. The last couple of games have not been intimidating for the other team and with a hot team coming in and a playoff berth on the line, everyone needs to be on their feet and supporting our Motor City Kitties.

Rivers scares me especially with our injuries in the secondary right now. Jackson and Floyd are good wide outs and are going to cause some problems. Really need the D-Line to have an impact and force Rivers to scramble and make poor decisions. Suh has been quiet during quite a few games so it would be great for him to have a monster game to help get the team to the playoffs. A good start would be nice for a change today to put more pressure on the Chargers and get the crowd fired up.

Hope to get a early Christmas present with this game today and celebrate a playoff appearance.

I remember a Christmas Eve 12 years ago listening to the entire Lions-Bears from an Internet cafe in Taipei at what in local time was already early Christmas morning. This game, this team has a much different feel to it even before kickoff. I hope the Jets and Broncos combine to eliminate the Chargers in th1 1pm games, but even if they don't I see the Lions winning this 24-20.

Its now 1pm, and everything I had to do today, is done. Football the rest of the day, nothing else.

Cardinals down 3-0 early. Redzone is the greatest thing ever. Keeping a close eye on the Cards/Bengals and Giants/Jets. The AFC playoff race is fun as well.

My mom wanted us to tape the game so we could go to 5 o clock mass but I told her that wasn't happening. We are going at 10pm instead. This game is going to be close but the Lions will pull it out.

God may finally be coming around on this team. Of course, the signs may point otherwise after today.

The absence of Delmas in the secondary makes me very nervous -- according to what I've read, it makes our corners nervous, too. I wonder if this game will come down to whether Kevin Smith is able to play near 100%, and add a dimension to our offense that San Diego won't account for.

So close to the playoffs. So close. I spent some time this morning thinking back to how long ago 1999 was, what I was doing, etc. So ready for this drought to end today, would be the best Christmas present.

Lions are on CBS today. Interconference games, the road team's network covers the game. But there is GREAT monster truck action on CBS right now locally.

That's what happens when you call a pretty awful quarterback your quarterback... I knew he was going to bust the second I saw that magazine where he posed shirtless... Self centered divas like that will never make it as a QB in the NFL.
