Lions attend Grand Valley State Pro Day
Lions | Check Out Pro Day At Grand Valley State - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
20:13 PT: The AP reports Detroit Lions coach Steve Mariucci was at the Pro Day workout for Grand Valley State on Monday. The Pro Day drew scouts from 26 NFL teams. WR David Kircus was pleased with his showing. Kircus caught the eye of scouts with his MVP performance at the Hula Bowl. "I think they wanted to see if I could run," he said. "I think I showed them I could." QB Curtis Anes was also pleased with his showing."I don't believe a manager ever won a pennant. Casey Stengel won all those pennants with the Yankees. How many did he win with the Boston Braves and Mets? I've never seen a team win a pennant without players. I think the only thing the manager has to do is keep things within certain boundaries."

Kircus ran times of 4.44 and 4.47 seconds Monday in the 40-yard dash and had a vertical of 40 inches. Look's day 2 pick do the Lions go after him? If they can fill the LB & CB positions with free agents or early picks then why not.

Dusting off my 3M-English dictionary...
I believe that 3M is saying that he think Kircus will likely end up being drafted during the second day of the NFL draft... in other words in rounds 4-7. If he is around on day day, 3M is wondering if the Lions should look at drafting him.

Thanks for the translation Red. That would have been my guess, but I felt the need to give him crap about it.
The Lions are drafting a WR in the first round. If Kircus drops too far it is because teams know he wont be anygood. Sure they should give him a look, but it wont really be that important because they already got there man."What the world really needs is more love and less paper work"
