Bowl Predictions
Let's hear everyone's prediction for the bowl games...
All prediction must be made before kick-off of the New Orleans Bowl. No one is allowed to edit there after. And include a final score for the National Championship game for a tie breaker (if needed).
PS.... I did my best job with the spacing... it ain't perfect but it ought to do.Code:Date Matchup and Results Bowl Game 12/17/02 Cincinnati (7-6) vs North Texas (7-5) New Orleans Bowl 12/18/02 Marshall (10-2) vs Louisville (7-5) GMAC Bowl 12/23/02 Clemson (7-5) vs Texas Tech (8-5) Mazda Tangerine Bowl 12/25/02 UCLA (7-5) vs New Mexico (7-6) Sega Sports Las Vegas Bowl 12/25/02 Hawaii (10-3) vs Tulane (7-5) ConAgra Foods Hawaii Bowl 12/26/02 Boston College (8-4) vs Toledo (9-4) Motor City Bowl 12/26/02 Pittsburgh (8-4) vs Oregon State (8-4) Insight Bowl 12/27/02 Southern Miss (7-5) vs Oklahoma State (7-5) Houston Bowl 12/27/02 Nebraska (7-6) vs Mississippi (6-6) MainStay Independence Bowl 12/27/02 Kansas State (10-2) vs Arizona State (8-5) Pacific Life Holiday Bowl 12/28/02 West Virginia (9-3) vs Virginia (8-5) Continental Tire Bowl 12/28/02 Colorado (9-4) vs Wisconsin (7-6) 2002 Alamo Bowl 12/30/02 Arkansas (9-4) vs Minnesota (7-5) Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl 12/30/02 Oregon (7-5) vs Wake Forest (6-6) Seattle Bowl 12/31/02 Iowa State (7-6) vs Boise State (11-1) Crucial.com Humanitarian Bowl 12/31/02 Purdue (6-6) vs Washington (7-5) Wells Fargo Sun Bowl 12/31/02 Colorado State (10-3) vs TCU (9-2) AXA Liberty Bowl 12/31/02 Georgia Tech (7-5) vs Fresno State (8-5) Silicon Valley Football Classic 12/31/02 Tennessee (8-4) vs Maryland (10-3) Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl 12/31/02 Air Force (8-4) vs Virginia Tech (9-4) Diamond Walnut San Francisco Bowl 01/01/03 Florida (8-4) vs Michigan (9-3) Outback Bowl 01/01/03 Texas (10-2) vs LSU (8-4) SBC Cotton Bowl 01/01/03 NC State (10-3) vs Notre Dame (10-2) Toyota Gator Bowl 01/01/03 Penn State (9-3) vs Auburn (8-4) Capital One Bowl 01/01/03 Oklahoma (11-2) vs Washington State (10-2) Rose Bowl 01/01/03 Georgia (12-1) vs Florida State (9-4) Nokia Sugar Bowl 01/02/03 Iowa (11-1) vs USC (10-2) FedEx Orange Bowl 01/03/03 Ohio State (13-0) vs Miami (12-0) Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

The Motor City Bowl
Holy Max Klinger... Toledo is getting HAMMERED! I had a feeling they'd lose but I thought they'd make a game out of it. They've fallen apart with all of the stupid penalties.

The Independence Bowl looks like it may help spread the field a bit as the picks are about evenly split between Neb. and Miss.

Anyone wanna take over keep track of the records? I'm feeling a little lazy and having little free time while I'm having the time of my life during this break.
Yeah, I was at the Motor City Bowl. It sucked. Toledo has no defense. They're still not a bad team for being Big Ten rejects. This is not a 3-7 Michigan team...it is an 8-2 team without a QB.

Thanks Mattingly... after this last semester, I already feel "rejuvenated" for the next semester. Who'd thunk sledding is fun after grade school? I also traveled over a good 600 miles since the start of break, going to Columbus and back to see the Wings beat the Blue Jackets and man is Nationwide Arena nice and drove to Detroit a few times, once for the Motor City Bowl and drove to quite a few other places too.
Anyways, anyone looking for my postgame reaction after the Buckeyes win the National Championship will have to wait till probably the 5th. There's a big party my friend is throwing at his cottage over by the Ohio-Indiana-Michigan border. This is not a 3-7 Michigan team...it is an 8-2 team without a QB.

Well, I never claimed to know much about college football. It is showing in my predictions so far. Hopefully it is just attributed to them being lesser-known schools and I will do better in the more important games.
Ranger, when you have that big party, you will be puking and crying for days, so I will give you at least until the beginning of the semester to respond.:D"What the world really needs is more love and less paper work"

Randy, you went 3-0 today and are now at .500, which is still last place, but hey its a start.
Since this is all in fun and with no $$ on the line the late entry of MCO is no big whoop, although he is in second.Last edited by Mattingly70; 12-28-2002 at 01:09 AM.

Since I'm here, I decided to post the standings after today's battles. As can be seen, Mark has claimed sole possession of first. Tomorrow will be key in deciding who will be crowned the champion bowl predictor (weee!)
