OSU and UM have an easy week ahead of them... Kent and Western.

But looking ahead, Washington State, Penn State and Wisconsin are the only really big threats OSU faces and Michigan faces those two Big Ten teams plus MSU...
The OSU-UM game could determine the Big Ten Champs plus determine one of the spots in a BCS bowl.

Since margain of victory is no longer taken into account when figuring out BCS standings, both teams could be in a BCS bowl.

I think Michigan's biggest worry is Notre Dame... after the upset of Maryland this weekend, they should be able to beat Purdue no problem this weekend then brings on Michigan. Willingham has done nothing but impress me in the game verus Maryland and I think the momentum he'll be coming in with might play some factor and since Carr doesn't know his coaching style well either. Carlyle Holiday also has impressed me in the games of Norte Dame that I've watched (and there weren't that many but the ones I did, he played great).
This is not a 3-7 Michigan team...it is an 8-2 team without a QB.

    Detroit News Top 25

By John Niyo / The Detroit News

College football writer John Niyo has one of the 74 votes in this year's Associated Press Top 25 poll. Here's a breakdown of his weekly ballot:
    1. Texas: Offensive line struggled in opener, but still has a month to jell.
    2. Miami (Fla.): Nation's longest winning streak on the line Saturday at The Swamp.
    3. Oklahoma: Quentin Griffin's 237-yard day shows Sooners rushing game is OK.
    4. Florida State: Week off before key ACC trip to Maryland.
    5. Florida: Heisman frontrunner Rex Grossman will test Miami's young secondary.
    6. Tennessee: Lost another defensive starter for the season in Saturday's rout of Wyoming.
    7. Ohio State: Has lost just four August or September games since 1990.
    8. Nebraska: Three touchdowns from special teams already this season.
    9. Michigan State: Offense looks to be as good as advertised.
    10. Washington State: True test comes Sept. 14 at Ohio State.
    11. Michigan: New wrinkles in offense still need some ironing out.
    12. Virginia Tech: Defense dominant, again, in 26-8 victory over LSU.
    13. Georgia: D.J. Shockley might deserve starting quarterback job after opener vs. Clemson.
    14. Washington: Last-minute coaching blunder cost Huskies a victory in Ann Arbor.
    15. Oregon: Joey Harrington watched new QB Jason Fife pick up where he left off.
    16. Colorado: Gary Barnett has lost all four season openers at Colorado.
    17. USC: With tough schedule, Trojans needed the 24-17 victory over Auburn on Monday.
    18. Texas A&M: QB Mark Farris is feeling pressure to keep his job.
    19. Marshall: Byron Leftwich threw for 469 yards Saturday without his top receiver.
    20. Wisconsin: Jonathan Orr set freshman receiving record in win at UNLV.
    21. Kansas State: First-string defense only allowed 92 yards in opener.
    22. Penn State: Zach Mills proves he's still got winning touch at quarterback.
    23. LSU: Offense never got untracked in opener at Virginia Tech.
    24. Auburn: After Monday's road test, Tigers get a break in schedule.
    25. Colorado State: Sonny Lubick's team still owns state bragging rights.
    You're out of your element.
