TruTV, formerly Court TV is advertising an ambitious program schedule of 75 new "actuality, not reality" shows during January. Watched a little bit of Ocean Force and Speeders and at least off season fodder.

What was the reason cited for changing the name of the station, Great Huey Son?

My guess is that they are doing more and more "actuality" TV and felt that they were moving from crime to other stuff.

They were finding that the only court cases that were getting any ratings were celebrity ones and they can't consistantly rely on celebritites committing murders. They didn't have faith that the Phil Spector re-trial was gonna bring numbers.

Looking at their schedule, the day format is pretty much the same. Following an ongoing case or detailing others. Evening shows are where the actuality comes in.
