COMSTOCK PARK – For the second night in a row, the starting pitcher for the Whitecaps registered double-digit strikeouts. But on Saturday, Chris Cody struck out 13 and took the loss in a 3-2 Great Lakes win over the Whitecaps.

Cody has had some hard luck losses this year. He lost a game earlier 1-0 on an unearned run that scored on a passed ball.

Even though Chris received a warm ovation from the crowd as he left the field in the 8th inning, it was tough looking at the expression on his face. He really did have an excellent outing.
